Con todo, aunque era el combate con más sentido y más necesario en la división en estos momentos, las partes no han pactado un choque antes de que llegase una defensa obligatoria IBF.
Efectivamente, la Federación Internacional de Boxeo ha emitido una orden de defensa oficial entre Akhmadaliev y el retador Marlon Tapales, excampeón mundial filipino. De ese modo, si no es que se decide pagarle un step-aside a Tapales, habrá que esperar a que se produzca este choque para poder terminar viendo una unificación total de la división supergallo.
Si bien para muchos no será demasiado consuelo, al menos el duelo entre Akhmadaliev y Tapales es un buen choque. En él, el para muchos número 1 de la categoría se medirá a un peligroso oponente que llega de arrollar en eliminatoria final a un duro pegador como Hiroaki Teshigawara, por lo que, siendo ambos boxeadores potentes y con recursos, debería resultar un cruce entretenido de ver. Además, quien salga con el brazo en alto reforzará su prestigio notablemente a la vez que mostrará estar preparado y merecer sin lugar a dudas hacer historia en un duelo contra Fulton.

The International Boxing Federation has ordered a fight between Akhmadaliev and his mandatory challenger, former world champion Marlon Tapales. Thus, if a step-aside agreement is not reached, we will have to wait for this match to occur in order to end up seeing a total unification of the junior featherweight division.
While for many it will not be too much comfort, at least the duel between Akhmadaliev and Tapales is a good clash. In it, the number 1 of the category will fight against a dangerous opponent who in his last ring appearance overwhelmed a hard puncher like Hiroaki Teshigawara in a final eliminator, so, being both powerful and skilled boxers, it should be an entertaining bout.
