Probellum anuncia mundial Sunny Edwards vs. Waseem y Regis Prograis vs. McKenna el día 19 de marzo

La compañía Probellum tiene planeado ofrecer dos veladas en días consecutivos en el Duty Free Tennis Stadium de Dubái, Emiratos Árabes Unidos, estando pendientes de confirmación los duelos principales del primer evento, que se producirá el día 18 de marzo. Con todo, los de las segunda cartelera, que tendrá lugar el 19 de marzo, han sido ya oficialmente anunciados, siendo el estelar un campeonato mundial IBF del peso mosca entre el campeón Sunny Edwards y el retador voluntario Muhammad Waseem.
Ambos boxeadores realizaron sus últimos duelos en Dubái, en el caso de Edwards en diciembre contra el retador obligatorio Jayson Mama y en el de Waseem en noviembre contra Rober Barrera, pelea que fue una eliminatoria WBA que finalmente quedará sin efecto al perseguir el mundial en la Federación.
En el choque coestelar combatirá el excampeón mundial superligero Regis Prograis, quien ansía volver a coronarse monarca y que mientras espera su oportunidad se medirá al británico Tyrone McKenna, que perdió a los puntos la final del torneo Golden Contract ante Ohara Davies y que posteriormente ofreció un entretenido combate contra José Félix.
En el anuncio oficial de la velada, el promotor Richard Schaefer señaló:

The promotional company Probellum plans to offer two evenings on consecutive days at the Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, pending confirmation of the main duels of the first event, which will take place on March 18. However, those of the second bill on March 19 have already been officially announced. The main clash will be an IBF flyweight world championship between the titlist Sunny Edwards and the challenger Muhammad Waseem.
Both boxers had their last fights in Dubai: Edwards in December against the mandatory challenger Jayson Mama and Waseem in November against Rober Barrera in a WBA eliminator that will finally be without effect as he is pursuing the world championship in the IBF.
