The Triller platform has officially announced that on May 14 the Bulgarian, former world heavyweight challenger, Kubrat Pulev will not finally face the Russian Andrey Fedosov, but the American Jerry Forrest, this clash being the co-feature of an event from the Forum at Inglewood in United States. In the main event, the Russian, former unified light heavyweight champion, Sergey Kovalev will make his cruiserweight debut, and his comeback after his loss to Canelo (November 2019), taking on Kubrat Pulev’s brother, the undefeated Tervel Pulev.
In this way, an interesting card has been definitively shaped, since, on the one hand, Tervel Pulev will face by far his greatest test as a professional, in a career that has progressed somewhat slowly, fighting against Kovalev, who not even his promoter Kathy Duva knows if he is going to be a complete failure or a success at cruiserweight.
As for the co-main event, which could perfectly well be the main bout, Kubrat Pulev will try to recover from his loss to Anthony Joshua against Forrest, who is entertaining and almost as capable as he is irregular, his clear loss to Takam having been followed by two draws, one against Olympic medalist Zhilei Zhang after suffering three knockdowns, and the other controversially against the highly rated Michael Hunter.
In addition, three undefeated young fighters will also participate in separate matches on the evening: welterweight Evan Holyfield, son of Evander Holyfield, super welterweight Fernando Vargas Jr. and featherweight Amado Vargas, sons of Fernando Vargas.
