Evidentemente, este no es el tipo de enfrentamiento en el que los aficionados desearían ver al excampeón mundial mexicano Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramírez, pero ha sido confirmado que el día 14 de mayo éste se enfrentará al alemán Dominic Boesel encabezando una velada de Golden Boy Promotions emitida por DAZN desde el Toyota Arena en Ontario, Estados Unidos. Dado que Ramírez es 1º WBA y Boesel es 2º WBA, la pugna seguramente será promocionada como una eliminatoria del peso semipesado para decidir al retador obligatorio del ganador del Canelo-Bivol. No obstante, será difícil que genere demasiado entusiasmo siendo Ramírez amplísimo favorito para imponerse.

As Ramírez is 1st WBA and Boesel is 2nd WBA, the bout will likely be promoted as a light heavyweight eliminator to decide the mandatory challenger for the Canelo-Bivol winner. However, it will be difficult for the clash to generate much enthusiasm taking into account that Ramírez is the huge favorite to win.
