Antes de que se disputasen los tres choques principales de la velada organizada por Probellum y GYM Promotions se produjo un combate para el prospecto local Spencer Wilcox 3(2KO)-0, boxeador con buena carrera amateur que llegó por primera vez a la distancia en su victoria unánime (triple 39-37) ante el mexicano Juan Carlos “Demoledor” Ramírez 4(0KO)-2.
En el primer asalto Ramírez atacó con mucha agresividad y llegó con buenos hooks que incomodaron un tanto a Wilcox, pero desde el segundo round el canadiense empezó a usar su juego de piernas, su jab y sus buenos golpes de poder en uppercut diestro, directo de derecha y gancho zurdo para contener el empuje rival y hacerse con el control. Así, aunque de vez en cuando volvió a recibir alguna embestida con volados, en la segunda mitad del choque Wilcox pudo usar su técnica para imponerse con claridad y además dejar algún detalle de calidad con su golpeo en desplazamiento.
El primer enfrentamiento de la cartelera emitida fue el debut boxístico (antes había peleado como kickboxer) del peso supergallo canadiense Jonathan Di Bella 1(0KO)-0, que derrotó por decisión unánime (triple 40-36) al joven mexicano Brian “Devorador” López 2(1KO)-1.
El zurdo Di Bella conectó con precisión su directo de izquierda y su cruzado de mano adelantada, golpes que tiró aislados, enlazados, al ataque y a la contra. En ocasiones López sacó un inesperado recto diestro que hizo diana contra su contrincante y le frenó un tanto, pero en general estos éxitos se perdieron entre los claros puños de Di Bella, que además de conectar también varios buenos hooks zurdos abajo logró sacudir en un par de ocasiones a su contrincante con crochés diestros a la contra.
A estos combates se sumó más tarde otra pelea a cuatro asaltos “flotante”, en la cual la mexicana Flor Carrera 2(0KO)-0-1 vapuleó a la debutante local Sara Couillard 0(0KO)-1 en un combate del peso supermosca. Las puntuaciones fueron de triple 40-36.
En el encuentro no hubo ni un ápice de técnica o de orden, sino que Carrera avanzó lanzando andanadas de toscos volados sin protegerse ante una Couillard que no tenía recursos para responder a la agresividad de su contrincante más que intentando lanzar sus brazos al aire en los embarrados intercambios. En el inicio alguna derecha disuasoria de Couillard hizo diana claramente, pero en general Carrera golpeó sin cesar a la canadiense con sus curvos sin técnica e incluso la estremeció duramente en el segundo asalto.

Before the three main matches of the evening organized by Probellum and GYM Promotions there was a fight for local prospect Spencer Wilcox 3(2KO)-0, a boxer with a good amateur career who reached a verdict for the first time in his unanimous decision victory (triple 39-37) over the Mexican Juan Carlos «Demoledor» Ramírez 4(0KO)-2.
In the first round Ramírez attacked very aggressively and landed good hooks that bothered Wilcox somewhat, but from the second round the Canadian began to use his footwork, his jab and his good power shots in right uppercut, straight right and left hook to contain his rival’s pressure and took control. Thus, although from time to time he received another charge with hooks, in the second half of the bout Wilcox was able to use his skill to be superior and also offer actions with technical quality.
The first fight of this event was the boxing debut (he had previously fought as a kickboxer) of the Canadian super bantamweight Jonathan Di Bella 1(0KO)-0, who defeated by unanimous decision (triple 40-36) the young Mexican Brian “Devorador” López 2(1KO)-1.
The southpaw Di Bella connected with precision his straight left and his lead hook, shots that he threw isolated, linked, to the attack and to the counter. Sometimes López threw an unexpected straight right hand that hit his opponent, but in general these successes were lost between the clear hands of Di Bella who, in addition to connecting several good left hooks down, shook his opponent on a couple of occasions with counter right hooks.
These short fights were later joined by another four-rounder, a super flyweight bout in which Mexican Flor Carrera 2(0KO)-0-1 overwhelmed the local debutant Sara Couillard 0(0KO)-1. The scores were triple 40-36.
In the match there was not a bit of technique or order, as Carrera advanced throwing rough hooks without protecting herself against Couillard, who had no other tactical resources to respond to her opponent’s aggressiveness than trying to throw her arms into the air in the messy exchanges. In the beginning some dissuasive right hands from Couillard clearly landed, but overall Carrera hit the Canadian with countless hooks without technique and even rocked her hard in the second round.
