En estos momentos de la temporada estamos viendo múltiples solapamientos de eventos que no favorecen a nadie y que hacen trabajoso seguir debidamente toda la actividad boxística. Sin embargo, en un respiro respecto a esta tendencia, la semana que viene no se producirá finalmente la coincidencia de dos grandes eventos estadounidenses.
Y es que, aunque el día 18 de junio iban a tener lugar hacia la misma hora la velada del Beterbiev-Smith (Top Rank) y la del Jermall Charlo vs. Maciej Sulecki (PBC), esta última cartelera ha sido aplazada. El motivo de ello es oficialmente una lesión menor de espalda padecida por Charlo, si bien son muchos los que consideran que detrás del cambio de fecha está realmente el deseo de evitar chocar con una cartelera de relieve.
En cualquier caso, el sábado 18 no habrá que cambiar de canal entre estos dos eventos ni recurrir a diferidos y nos podremos centrar en la triple unificación de cinturones mundiales del peso semipesado entre Artur Beterbiev y Joe Smith Jr.
