En el respaldo principal de la velada Kyoguchi-Bermúdez hubo knockdowns en el primer asalto de todos los combates, aunque el único que terminó las acciones en este round fue el temible pegador Eduardo “Rocky” Hernández 32(29KO)-1(1), que aplastó con su potencia al estadounidense Jorge David Castañeda 15(11KO)-2(2).
Con un minuto transcurrido, un gancho de mano adelantada estalló contra Castañeda, que quedó muy tocado y que fue derribado por una sucesión de uppercut diestro, gancho de derecha, gancho zurdo y jab. Castañeda se levantó, pero poco después una andanada de curvos en las cuerdas le dejó desmadejado y obligó al árbitro a detener el combate.
Hernández es uno de esos boxeadores a los que no les importa asumir grandes riesgos en busca del knockout, algo que le supuso padecer una derrota en el round inicial ante el actual campeón mundial WBA superpluma Roger Gutiérrez y que en el futuro podría volver a pasarle factura. No obstante, Hernández tiene una pegada descomunal, cuenta con gran fuerza y no poca velocidad y es muy bueno enlazando manos al ataque, por lo que, pese a sus defectos, virtualmente tendría cuanto menos una opción de victoria ante todos los púgiles de la cumbre aunque sea por su enorme peligro ofensivo.
Por el momento, Hernández es 8º WBC y 10º WBA y ha recuperado buena parte del impulso que había perdido impresionando con una arrolladora victoria ante un rival competente, siendo ahora el momento de que se le busque una pelea ante un top 15 conocido o bien clasificado que le pueda situar cerca del mundial.

Hernández is one of those boxers who does not mind assuming big risks seeking the knockout, something that caused him to loss in the opening round against the current WBA super featherweight world champion Roger Gutiérrez and that in the future could have new negative consequences. However, Hernández has a huge punch, great strength and not bad speed, and he is also very good linking his hands on the attack, so despite his flaws, he has virtually at least a chance of victory against all the fighters in the top of the division due to his enormous offensive danger.
For the moment, Hernández is 8th WBC and 10th WBA and has regained much of the momentum he had lost by impressing with an overwhelming victory over a competent rival, so now is the time for him to look for a fight against a well-known or well-ranked top 15 that can put him near to a world championship.
