El venezolano Albert Ramírez se impuso al argentino Braian Suárez en el duelo de pegadores del peso semipesado

La segunda cartelera WBA KO a las Drogas contó con un choque entre dos invictos pegadores del peso semipesado como el argentino Brian Nahuel Suárez 17(16KO)-1(1) y el venezolano Albert Ramírez 14(13KO)-0, duelo en el cual parecía perfectamente posible que se produjese un desenlace por knockout, como terminó sucediendo. No obstante, el final llegó más rápido de lo esperado, ya que Ramírez se impuso en el primer round.
Tras un cierto tanteo unas izquierdas del zurdo Ramírez parecieron dañar a su rival, que fue atacado con insistencia posteriormente. Esta primera advertencia fue sucedida algo más tarde por un duro gancho diestro arriba y por otro zurdo, cayendo Suárez a la lona. En la reanudación el púgil trató de entrar en clinch, aunque posteriormente trató de atacar, recibiendo un fuerte directo de mano adelantada que le tumbó y que supuso la conclusión.
Las victorias en el primer asalto a veces resultan engañosas, pero el hecho es que Ramírez logró una contundente victoria sobre un invicto peligroso y que estaba clasificado como 10º IBF y 14º WBO. Por ello, y habiendo capturado un cinturón menor WBA con este triunfo en una velada apoyada por este organismo, es de esperar que Ramírez adquiera un buen posicionamiento en las listas y que pueda recibir importantes ofertas a continuación para perseguir sus objetivos en la división del peso semipesado.
En este mismo evento también se produjo la coronación de una nueva campeona mundial WBA del peso supermosca, puesto que la argentina Clara Lescurat 7(3KO)-0 derrotó a la mexicana Maribel “Pantera” Ramírez 13(3KO)-10(4). De todos modos, el veredicto fue por decisión dividida y con cartulinas realmente dispares: 99-91 y 98-92 para Lescurat y un 94-96 para Ramírez.

The second card WBA KO Drugs featured a clash between two undefeated light heavyweight punchers like the Argentinian Brian Nahuel Suárez 17(16KO)-1(1) and the Venezuelan Albert Ramírez 14(13KO)-0, fight in which it seemed perfectly possible a knockout conclusion, as it effectively happened. However, the end came sooner than expected, as Ramírez won in the first round.
After some tests, a pair of left hands from the southpaw Ramírez seemed to hurt his rival, who was later attacked insistently. This first threat was followed a little later by a hard right hook up and a left hook, punches that dropped Suárez to the canvas. At the restart the boxer sought the clinch, although later he tried to attack, receiving a powerful jab from Ramírez that knocked him down and prompted the stoppage.
First-round victories are sometimes deceptive, but the fact is that Ramirez obtained a resounding victory over a dangerous and undefeated fighter that was ranked 10th IBF and 14th WBO. For this reason, and capturing a minor WBA belt in an evening supported by this organization, Ramírez will get a good ranking and he will probably receive important offers to keep pursuing his objectives in the light heavyweight division.
In this same event there was also the coronation of a new WBA super flyweight world champion, since the Argentinean Clara Lescurat 7(3KO)-0 defeated the Mexican Maribel “Pantera” Ramírez 13(3KO)-10(4). However, the verdict was a split decision and with really different scorecards: 99-91 and 98-92 for Lescurat and one 94-96 for Ramírez.
