Por decisión unánime y puntuaciones de doble 79-73 y un 78-74, el peso wélter estadounidense Quinton Randall 10(2KO)-0-1 logró una convincente victoria sobre el exigente Ivan “Cobra” Pandzić 14(8KO)-2-1, siguiendo adelante con su rápido avance profesional. De hecho, Randall ya tiene programado un combate a diez asaltos para el próximo septiembre, cuando se medirá al mexicano Luis “Matador” Hernández 21(19KO)-2.
Respecto al choque coestelar de la velada del jueves, el peso supermedio Andrew Murphy 6(4KO)-0 también se hizo con una amplia victoria unánime (doble 80-72 y 79-73) ante Isiah Jones 9(3KO)-6(1) en el primero de varios combates que ahora encarará a ocho asaltos.
Viernes 15 de julio
La cartelera de Top Rank se cerró con una victoria unánime de Arnold Barboza Jr. sobre Danielito Zorrilla, triunfo tras el cual este ranqueado peso superligero apuntó a un duelo ante Teófimo López o a la disputa de un mundial.

En el choque co-estelar el peso ligero Raymond Muratalla derribó a Jair Valtierra y controló las acciones para lograr una amplisima victoria unánime que debería llevarle a encarar pasos adelante en próximas subidas al ring.

La cartelera principal de este evento se inició con una victoria en el primer asalto del peso pesado, plata olímpico, Richard Torrez, si bien el árbitro se precipitó un tanto al decretar el KOT contra Robert Zavala Jr.

Cambiando de evento, la alemana Ramona Graeff 4(0KO)-0 cumplió los pronósticos y venció por decisión unánime la eliminatoria WBA del peso superpluma ante la excampeona venezolana Alys “La China” Sánchez 17(6KO)-8(3)-1. De ese modo, Graeff se convirtió en aspirante obligatoria de la campeona Hyun Mi Choi, a la que tendrá claras opciones de destronar cuando el choque se materialice, algo que podría tardar en suceder.
Respecto al resto de esta velada, todos los favoritos sumaron triunfos. El peso supermedio cubano Uwel Hernández 14(7KO)-1 derrotó por decisión unánime al kosovar Kamer Maloku 16(13KO)-3(1) y tendría que pensar en aumentar mucho el nivel de su oposición; el peso ligero Jaouad Belmehdi 16(7KO)-0-3 venció de forma unánime (78-73, 78-75 y 77-74) a James Chereji 17(7KO)-2(1) y quedó listo para una pelea significativa en el último cuarto del año; el veterano excampeón mundial Austin Trout 35(18KO)-5(1)-1 no sólo no pudo noquear a Florin Cardos 21(9KO)-4(3), sino que solamente le superó de forma mayoritaria, por lo que verdaderamente parece inviable que pueda lograr una victoria en la cumbre como dice pretender.
Al margen de lo citado, el viernes se produjeron estos otros combates:
-Chad “2 Slick” Sugden 12(4KO)-3(1)-1 no pudo conquistar el cinturón de Inglaterra del peso semipesado, puesto que fue batido por KOT en el octavo asalto por Joel McIntyre 20(5KO)-4(1), que recuperó ese título cerca de cinco años después de haberlo perdido.
-El peso medio uzbeko Bakhromjon Fozilov 9(8KO)-1-3 no logró mantener su 100% de knockouts pero venció al argentino Diego Ramírez 24(6KO)-8(1)-1 por decisión unánime, mismo resultado que obtuvo el peso superwélter Mirzakamol Nematov 9(3KO)-1(1) sobre Julius Indongo 24(13KO)-6(4).
-El bronce olímpico Misael “El Chino” Rodríguez 11(6KO)-0 finalizó su inactividad con una victoria por KO en el séptimo round sobre Jesús “Chovy” Acosta 24(12KO)-16(9)-2, sustituto de José “El Explosivo” Herrera.
Sábado 16 de julio
Parecía casi imposible que Javier Fortuna pudiese dar la sorpresa ante Ryan García, y no lo logró, cayendo el dominicano tres veces a la lona antes de ser batido en el sexto round.

En el semifondo, el peso wélter Alexis Rocha también cumplió con lo esperado y derrotó por decisión unánime al resistente Luis Verón, necesitando retos de más calado si quiere destacar en la categoría.

Por lo que se refiere a las eliminatorias WBA de este evento, la del peso superpluma se resolvió con Lamont Roach Jr. logrando una previsible victoria por decisión unánime sobre Ángel Rodríguez.

En cambio, la del peso mosca terminó con un resultado contra pronóstico, si bien uno controvertido, ya que Ricardo Sandoval pareció hacer suficiente para vencer a David Jiménez pero los jueces le dieron a este último un triunfo por decisión mayoritaria.

Pasando a la velada de Frank Warren, la pugna estelar resultó emocionante, ya que el peso medio Hamzah Sheeraz fue derribado pero logró anotarse tres knockdowns antes de batir a Francisco Torres. En el semifondo, el peso pluma Dennis McCann ofreció una gran actuación y derrotó por KOT a James Beech Jr.

También fue parte de esta velada la coronación como campeón británico del peso supermedio de Mark Heffron, que fue claramente superior a Lennox Clarke y le batió por KOT en el quinto asalto. Respecto al campeonato de Italia por el vacante título del peso superpluma, este concluyó con Catalin Ionescu 13(4KO)-2(1)-1 iniciando un nuevo reinado con un KOT en el segundo asalto sobre Nicola Henchiri 10(0KO)-7(1)-2. Vídeo del combate siguiendo el enlace:

Para terminar con el artículo se pueden mencionar estos otros duelos:
-La pelea del peso semipesado entre Michael “Diesel” Eifert 11(4KO)-1 y Adriano Sperandio 14(2KO)-2 resultó contendida, venciendo el primero por ajustada decisión unánime (96-95 doble y un 98-92). Así, el joven Eifert sumó rounds de experiencia útiles, si bien todavía le falta mucho desarrollo para poder encarar importantes pugnas continentales con garantías de éxito.
-El retador obligatorio WBA del peso minimosca Daniel “El Verdugo” Matellón 13(7KO)-0-2 conservó su posición con un knockout en el tercer asalto sobre el mexicano Iván “Magnífico” García 8(5KO)-2(2)-1, siendo cuestión de tiempo que pueda acceder a un campeonato contra Hiroto Kyoguchi.
-El peso supermedio Sena Agbeko 26(21KO)-2(1) derrotó al estadounidense Winfred Harris Jr. 22(10KO)-2(1)-1 con un KOT en el noveno asalto, por lo que de mantener este ritmo de victorias no tardará en aparecer en un evento importante.

By unanimous decision and scorecards of double 79-73 and one 78-74, the American welterweight Quinton Randall 10(2KO)-0-1 achieved a convincing victory over the tricky Ivan “Cobra” Pandzić 14(8KO)-2-1, moving forward with his fast career advance. In fact, Randall already has a ten-round fight scheduled for next September, when he will battle Mexican Luis “Matador” Hernández 21(19KO)-2.
Regarding the co-main event of the evening, the super middleweight Andrew Murphy 6(4KO)-0 also won by wide unanimous decision (double 80-72 and 79-73) against Isiah Jones 9(3KO)-6(1) in the first of several eight round fights that he will now face.
Friday, July 15
The Top Rank card closed with a unanimous decision victory for Arnold Barboza Jr. over Danielito Zorrilla. After this success the ranked super lightweight Barboza aimed to a duel against Teófimo López or a world championship. Read more following the link.
In the co-main event, lightweight Raymond Muratalla knocked down Jair Valtierra and controlled the actions to achieve a wide unanimous decision victory that should lead him to significant steps forward in the near future. Read more following the link.
The main card of this event began with a first round victory for the heavyweight, Olympic silver medalist, Richard Torrez, although the referee was somewhat hasty in the stoppage suffered by Robert Zavala Jr. Read more following the link.
In another event, the German Ramona Graeff 4(0KO)-0 did as expected winning by unanimous decision the WBA super featherweight eliminator against the former champion Alys “La China” Sánchez 17(6KO)-8(3)-1. In this way, Graeff became mandatory challenger for the champion Hyun Mi Choi, whom she will have good chances to dethrone when the clash materializes, something that could take time to happen.
Regarding the rest of this evening, all the favorites scored victories. Cuban super middleweight Uwel Hernandez 14(7KO)-1 defeated the Kosovar Kamer Maloku 16(13KO)-3(1) by unanimous decision and should raise a lot the level of his opposition; lightweight Jaouad Belmehdi 16(7KO)-0-3 beat James Chereji 17(7KO)-2(1) by unanimous decision (78-73, 78-75 and 77-74) and is ready for an important fight in the last quarter of the year; the veteran former world champion Austin Trout 35(18KO)-5(1)-1 could only defeat Florin Cardos 21(9KO)-4(3) by majority decision, so it really seems unfeasible that he can achieve a victory at the top of the division as he claims to pretend.
Apart from the aforementioned results, these other fights also took place on Friday:
-Chad “2 Slick” Sugden 12(4KO)-3(1)-1 could not win the English light heavyweight belt, since he was beaten by TKO in the eighth round by Joel McIntyre 20(5KO)-4(1), who regained that title nearly five years after losing it.
-Uzbek middleweight Bakhromjon Fozilov 9(8KO)-1-3 failed to maintain his 100% knockout ratio, but defeated Argentinian Diego Ramírez 24(6KO)-8(1)-1 by unanimous decision, the same result that obtained the super welterweight Mirzakamol Nematov 9(3KO)-1(1) over Julius Indongo 24(13KO)-6(4).
-Olympic bronze medalist Misael “El Chino” Rodríguez 11(6KO)-0 ended his long inactivity with a seventh-round KO victory over Jesús “Chovy” Acosta 24(12KO)-16(9)-2, replacement for José Herrera.

It seemed almost impossible that Javier Fortuna could pull off an upset against Ryan Garcia, and he didn’t achieve it: the Dominican was dropped three times before the defeat in the sixth round. Read more following the link.
In the co-feature, the welterweight Alexis Rocha also did as expected and defeated the resistant Luis Verón by unanimous decision, needing bigger challenges if he wants to stand out in the division. Read more following the link.
As for the WBA eliminators of this event, in the super featherweight one, Lamont Roach Jr. achieved a predictable unanimous decision victory over Ángel Rodríguez. Read more following the link.
On the other hand, the flyweight eliminator ended with an upset result, although a controversial one, as Ricardo Sandoval seemed to do enough to beat David Jimenez but the judges awarded the latter with a majority decision win. Read more following the link.
Moving on to the Frank Warren bill, the main event was an exciting middleweight bout in which Hamzah Sheeraz was knocked down but managed to drop three times Francisco Torres and defeat him. Also part of this evening was the proclamation as British super middleweight champion of Mark Heffron, who was clearly superior to Lennox Clarke and defeat him by TKO in the fifth round.
