Diego Pacheco vs. Enrique Collazo añadido al evento Canelo-Golovkin III

Después de que se confirmasen los enfrentamientos Jesse Rodríguez vs. Israel González y Austin Williams vs. Kieron Conway como parte del respaldo del evento Canelo vs. Golovkin III, Matchroom Boxing ha anunciado oficialmente una nueva pugna más para este cartel del 17 de septiembre. En ella se verán las caras el invicto prospecto estadounidense del peso supermedio Diego Pacheco 15(12KO)-0 y el olímpico puertorriqueño Enrique Collazo 16(12KO)-2-1.
Esta noticia ha venido acompañada de otra más, ya que Matchroom Boxing ha señalado que Pacheco ha extendido su acuerdo promocional con la compañía. Así, en las declaraciones adjuntas a la confirmación Pacheco comentó:
“Estoy muy emocionado por extender mi acuerdo promocional con Matchroom, porque ellos han hecho una gran labor trabajando conmigo como prospecto y ahora es el momento de entrar en la conversación de los contendientes. El 17 de septiembre le mostraré a todo el mundo otra vez que estoy aquí para quedarme”.
Por otro lado, Collazo afirmó:
“Estoy muy emocionado y agradecido por la oportunidad de pelear en esta cartelera. Va a ser otro combate histórico Puerto Rico vs. México. Estoy orgulloso de representar a mi isla y confío mucho en que ganaré esta pelea”.
Eddie Hearn también quiso pronunciarse:
“Estoy entusiasmado por que Diego haya comprometido su futuro con Matchroom. Diego se ha adaptado muy bien al boxeo profesional y el 17 de septiembre dará el siguiente paso con su primera pelea titular. Enrique ofrecerá un examen duro, pero creo que Diego mostrará lo que vemos en él: un futuro campeón mundial y un hombre joven que empezará a escalar en los rankings en la segunda mitad del año y que perseguirá de cerca a los contendientes de las 168 lb”.

After the bouts Jesse Rodríguez vs. Israel Gonzalez and Austin Williams vs. Kieron Conway were confirmed as part of the undercard of the bill Canelo vs. Golovkin III, Matchroom Boxing has officially announced another fight for this September 17 card. In it the undefeated American super middleweight prospect Diego Pacheco 15(12KO)-0 will battle Puerto Rican Olympian Enrique Collazo 16(12KO)-2-1.
This news has been accompanied by another one, since Matchroom Boxing has confirmed that Pacheco has extended his promotional agreement with the company. Thus, in the statements attached to the announcement, Pacheco commented:
“I am very excited to be extending my promotional deal with Matchroom because they’ve done a great job working with me as a prospect and now it’s time to get into the contender’s conversation. On September 17, I will be showing everyone once again that I am here to stay.”
On the other hand, Collazo said:
“Very excited and grateful for the opportunity to fight on this card. It’s going to be another historic fight between Puerto Rico vs. Mexico. Proud to be representing my Island and I am very confident I will win this fight.”
As for Eddie Hearn, he pointed out:
“I am delighted that Diego has committed his future to Matchroom. Diego has taken to the pro game so well and on September 17, he takes the next step with his first title fight. Enrique will provide a stiff examination, but I believe Diego will show what we see in him – a future World champion and a young man that will begin climbing the rankings in the second half of the year and be hot on the heels of the contenders at 168lbs.”
