Después de que se produjesen 13 combates profesionales (uno de los inicialmente pactados se canceló), la velada australiana con casi una veintena de peleas llegó a su cartelera principal, compuesta por seis peleas más. Uno de estos choques fue el duelo del peso medio entre Lachlan Higgins 8(3KO)-6-2 y Cody Beekin 4(2KO)-1, logrando en él el segundo el mayor triunfo de su carrera hasta la fecha con una decisión dividida (60-54, 58-56 y 56-58).
En un choque algo táctico y desde la distancia media-larga y larga, ambos trataron de imponer sus jabs y aislados golpes de poder. Pese a contar con mucha menos experiencia, Beekin supo manejarse bien en el encuentro, entrando y saliendo, llegando con hooks zurdos a la contra y provocando una inflamación en el ojo izquierdo de su contrincante con sus directos diestros. Con todo, Higgins, que era quien solía poseer la iniciativa, en ocasiones tuvo una mayor frecuencia de golpeo y dio algo más de continuidad a sus éxitos con los golpes claros, por lo que la pelea estuvo disputada, si bien la precisión de Beekin terminó dándole a éste la victoria.
Este combate fue precedido por un aburrido y muy deslucido combate del peso superligero en el que el irlandés, residente en Australia, Darragh Foley 21(9KO)-4-1 logró una victoria por decisión unánime (98-92, 97-93 y 96-94) sobre el australiano Blake Minto 14(3KO)-4(1)-2.
La pelea estuvo en líneas generales igualada y tuvo frecuentes intercambios en corta, pero se vio embarrada por constantes clinches, forcejeos, empujones hacia abajo, etc. En ocasiones uno u otro lograba encontrar el hueco para un potente y certero cruzado o para un uppercut claro, pero por lo demás ambos se vieron estancados prolongadamente en agarres y golpes de poco recorrido que, además de hacer el combate nada vistoso, lo hicieron difícil de puntuar. Por si esto fuese poco, hubo repetidos problemas con la cinta adhesiva que hicieron que el choque todavía perdiese más ritmo.
Finalmente, Minto acusó más el cansancio en la pelea física y Foley hizo valer su cadencia de golpes para ponerse por delante, logrando además dejar claramente dañado a su rival en el último round y hostigarlo duramente.
La cartelera principal del evento se inició con un intenso y emocionante combate entre las peso pluma australiana Shanell Dargan 1(0KO)-1-1 y la neozelandesa de origen kuwaití Ayisha Abied 2(0KO)-5(1), pugna en la cual la segunda logró una merecida victoria por decisión dividida y cartulinas de 48-47 y doble 47-48.
En el comienzo, la inexperimentada Dargan trató de arrollar a su contrincante con una altísima agresividad, lanzando andanadas de hooks sin cesar ante la zurda Abied que, pese a perder los asaltos, supo mantener el orden y sacar precisos contragolpes en directo de izquierda y cruzado de esta misma mano. Así, antes de alcanzar la mitad de este combate (pactado a cinco rounds) Dargan estaba agotada, de modo que la más fogueada Abied pudo tomar la iniciativa e imponer sus golpes de poder en uppercut y cruzado para superar a su contrincante y hacerse con la victoria.

After 13 professional fights (one of the bouts was canceled), the Australian evening with almost twenty fights reached its main card, composed of six more fights. One of them was a middleweight duel between Lachlan Higgins 8(3KO)-6-2 and Cody Beekin 4(2KO)-1, in which the latter achieved the biggest win of his career to date with a split decision (60-54, 58-56 and 56-58).
In a somewhat tactical fight in mid-long and long distance, both tried to impose their jabs and isolated power shots. Despite having much less experience, Beekin handled himself well in the match, going in and out, landing counter left hooks and causing a sweelling in his opponent’s left eye with his straight right hands. However, Higgins, who used to have the initiative, sometimes had a higher hitting rate and gave a little more continuity to his successes with clear shots, so the fight was contested, although Beekin’s precision ended up giving him the victory.
This bout was preceded by a boring and ugly super lightweight bout in which Irishman, resident in Australia, Darragh Foley 21(9KO)-4-1 scored a unanimous decision victory (98-92, 97-93, 96-94) over Australian Blake Minto 14(3KO)-4(1)-2.
The fight was generally even and featured frequent exchanges at short range, but was affected by constant clinches, shoves, etc. Sometimes one of the boxers managed to find the gap for a powerful and accurate hook or for a clear uppercut, but otherwise actions remained stalled for a long time in holds and short-range blows that, in addition to making the fight dull, made it difficult to score. On top of it, there were repeated problems with the tape that worsened the lack of rhythm of the clash.
Finally, Minto got more tired in the physical fight, and Foley imposed his work rate to take the lead, also managing to hurt clearly his opponent in the last round and attack him dangerously.
The main card of the event began with an intense and exciting featherweight fight between Australian Shanell Dargan 1(0KO)-1-1 and New Zealander, of Kuwaiti origin, Ayisha Abied 2(0KO)-5(1), bout in which the second achieved a deserved victory by split decision and scorecards of 48-47 and double 47-48.
In the beginning, the inexperienced Dargan tried to overwhelm her opponent with a very high punch output and a lot of aggressiveness, throwing flurries of hooks incessantly against the southpaw Abied, who despite losing the rounds knew how to maintain order and land precise left hands. Thus, before reaching the half point of this fight (scheduled to five rounds) Dargan was exhausted, so a more seasoned Abied was able to take the initiative and impose her power punches in uppercut and hooks to outwork her opponent and obtain the win.
