El esperado choque de unificación de los cinturones WBC-WBA del peso minimosca entre los japoneses Kenshiro Teraji y Hiroto Kyoguchi no fue el contendidísimo duelo que se esperaba. En el semifondo se produjo una gran controversia, ya que el campeón mundial WBO del peso minimosca Jonathan González retuvo su corona con una muy cuestionable decisión unánime ante Shokichi Iwata. Crónica del combate siguiendo el link.
La cartelera principal se inició con otros dos combates. En uno el peso ligero Masayoshi Nakatani fue derrotado por knockout en el sexto asalto a manos del invicto Shuichiro Yoshino, mientras que en otro el excampeón mundial mosca Junto Nakatani venció por decisión unánime a Francisco “Chihuas” Rodríguez. El pegador ucraniano del peso superwélter Serhii Bohachuk retornó al ring con un nuevo triunfo antes del límite. Esta vez venció en el segundo asalto al estadounidense Aaron Coley, que estremeció en una ocasión al favorito antes de terminar siendo derrotado. Crónica del combate siguiendo el link.
Esta velada emitida por UFC Fight Pass también ofreció los triunfos de dos prospectos. Uno de ellos fue el peso superwélter irlandés Callum Walsh, que derribó tres veces antes de batir por KO en el tercer round a Delen Parsley, y el otro fue el estadounidense Omar Cande que superó en el segundo episodio a José Edgardo García. Viernes 4 de noviembre
El viernes dejó un intenso combate del peso pesado, puesto que el bronce mundial australiano Justis Huni sostuvo múltiples intercambios con el duro neozelandés Kiki Toa Leutele antes de vencerle por decisión unánime de los jueces. Crónica del combate siguiendo el link.
En el choque coestelar, el peso semipesado Jerome Pampellone continuó sumando triunfos y acercándose a las listas mundiales venciendo a Faris Chevalier en un enfrentamiento táctico, monótono y tedioso. Crónica del combate siguiendo el link.
Por otro lado, en cuanto al evento de ProBox, el torneo Last Chance del peso superligero terminó con el estadounidense Kendo Castañeda 19(9KO)-6(2) siendo batido en la final por KOT en el décimo asalto a manos del mexicano Antonio “Toño” Morán 29(20KO)-5(1)-1. De ese modo, el proceso eliminatorio ha servido a Morán para lograr de manera consecutiva sus tres victorias más significativas, establecer su mejor racha desde 2017 y recobrar un cierto impulso en su trayectoria, algo que a su vez se debería traducir en el acceso a alguna decisiva pelea para su trayectoria en 2023.
En el choque coestelar también venció el favorito, puesto que el peso ligero mexicano Miguel “Explosivo” Madueño 28(26KO)-1 retornó a la senda del triunfo con un knockout en el quinto round sobre el olímpico panameño Juan Huertas 16(12KO)-4(3)-1. En juego estuvo además un título menor WBO que situará a Madueño en el ranking del organismo.
Respecto al excampeón mundial puertorriqueño Wilfredo “Bimbito” Méndez, éste logró un triunfo por decisión unánime (97-91, 97-91, 99-89) sobre el mexicano Moisés Caro 10(5KO)-2(1)-3 con él continuó recuperándose de su derrota ante Masataka Taniguchi antes de pasar a apuntar a nuevas peleas en la parte alta para la próxima temporada. El viernes tuvo estos otros resultados:
-El campeón de Sudamérica del peso ligero Agustín Quintana 18(13KO)-1-1 sólo necesitó un asalto para vencer su mal emparejado choque ante el venezolano Yoni Blanco 14(13KO)-2(2), estando listo para encarar un paso adelante importante en el que medir si puede perseguir la aparición en las clasificaciones.
-El peso superwélter canadiense Jessie Wilcox 16(10KO)-0-3 se tuvo que conformar con un empate por decisión dividida ante el fogueado mexicano Iván “Zurdo” Álvarez 31(21KO)-14(5)-4, lo que muestra que, pese a alguna buena actuación, no tiene todavía el nivel suficiente para apuntar a la parte de la difícil división.
Sábado 5 de noviembre
A pesar de que una vez más se le infravaloró asombrosamente antes del combate, el campeón mundial WBA del peso semipesado Dmitriy Bivol dominó su enfrentamiento ante el excampeón mundial invicto Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramírez, que ni siquiera estuvo cerca de ofrecer un duelo contendido debido a la suma de su inferioridad en habilidad y de una selección estratégica completamente absurda. Antes del combate estelar, la británica Chantelle Cameron se proclamó campeona indiscutida del peso superligero, y evidenció hasta qué punto llega la tosquedad de la estadounidense Jessica McCaskill, venciendo por decisión unánime y el tayiko Shavkat Rakhimov se convirtió en campeón mundial superpluma levantándose de la lona para batir por KOT al británico Zelfa Barrett. En el respaldo principal del Bivol-Ramírez también se incluyeron otros tres duelos. El oro olímpico Galal Yafai logró una cuestionable victoria por decisión dividida ante Gohan Rodríguez, el excampeón mundial Khalid Yafai fue derribado por Jerald Paclar y a duras penas logró el triunfo por decisión y el invicto Majid Al Naqbi fue derrotado por John Lawrence Ordonio. El peso supermedio David Morrell Jr. logró una victoria por KOT en el duodécimo asalto, si bien ahora lo más importante es esperar que mejore el estado de salud de su oponente Aidos Yerbossynuly, cuyo equipo se comportó de forma espantosa al dejar seguir el combate tanto tiempo. En el respaldo previo a la cartelera estelar, el exretador mundial Andre Dirrell batió por KOT a Yunieski González, el excampeón unificado Julian Williams batió por decisión unánime a Rolando Mansilla y los peso superligero Kent Cruz y Enriko Gogokhia empataron. Respecto a la velada de Universum, el choque José Larduet vs. Ali Kiydin no se disputó, pero sí lo hicieron los otros dos combates del peso pesado. En uno el kazajo Zhan Kossobutskiy 19(18KO)-0 superó a Hussein Muhamed 17(14KO)-1(1) en el tercer round y el franco-ruso Mourad Aliev 6(4KO)-0 batió por KOT en el quinto asalto a Yakup Saglam 46(42KO)-8(6). -El semipesado Conor Wallace 10(7KO)-1 volvió a vencer a Leti Leti 16(12KO)-2(1) en la revancha, además esta vez por KO en el sexto round. Con todo, fue una pelea dura, en la que Wallace fue derribado e iba perdiendo a los puntos en el momento de la detención.
-El exretador mundial del peso superwélter Takeshi Inoue 19(11KO)-2-1 sumó su segundo triunfo del año con un KOT en el sexto episodio ante Ryosuke Tenyu Maruki 18(13KO)-8(2)-2, con lo que se coronó campeón OPBF y escalará peldaños desde su posición de 15º WBO.

Tuesday, November 1
The long-awaited unification clash of the WBC-WBA light flyweight belts between the Japanese Kenshiro Teraji and Hiroto Kyoguchi was not the highly contested duel expected. Despite an isolated moment of difficulties, Teraji dominated the actions before achieving a TKO in the seventh round. Read more following the link.
The co-feature ended with a lot of controversy, as WBO world light flyweight champion Jonathan Gonzalez retained his crown with a highly questionable unanimous decision against Shokichi Iwata. Read more following the link.

As for the ProBox event, the Last Chance super lightweight tournament ended with the Mexican Antonio “Toño” Moran 29(20KO)-5(1)-1 winning by TKO in the tenth round his duel against the American Kendo Castañeda 19(9KO)-6(2). In this way, the tournament has served Morán to consecutively obtain his three most significant victories, achieve his best streak since 2017 and regain momentum, something that will surely led him into a decisive fight for his career in 2023.
The favorite won too in the co-main event, since Mexican lightweight Miguel «Explosivo» Madueño 28(26KO)-1 returned to wining ways with a fifth round knockout over the Panamanian Olympian Juan Huertas 16(12KO)-4(3)-1. At stake was a minor WBO title that will place Madueño in the organization’s ranking.

Before the main fight, British Chantelle Cameron was proclaimed undisputed super lightweight champion, and showed the complete lack of skills of American Jessica McCaskill, with a unanimous decision and Tajik Shavkat Rakhimov was crowned super featherweight champion getting up from the canvas to beat British Zelfa Barrett by TKO. Three other duels were also included in the main support of the Bivol-Ramírez event. -Light heavyweight Conor Wallace 10(7KO)-1 beat Leti Leti 16(12KO)-2(1) in the rematch, this time by KO in the sixth round. However, it was a tough fight, since Wallace was knocked down and he was trailing on the scorecards at the time of the stoppage.
-Former super welterweight world title challenger Takeshi Inoue 19(11KO)-2-1 achieved his second victory of the year with a TKO in the sixth round over Ryosuke Tenyu Maruki 18(13KO)-8(2)-2, triumph with which he was crowned OPBF champion and will climb from his position of 15th WBO.
