En un momento en el que se pueden ver veladas de casi cualquier lugar del mundo emitidas a través de YouTube, al fin en España se siguió el ejemplo y se emitió de ese modo la velada del Peláez-Taylor. Esta no contó con encuentros de gran calibre, pero a diferencia de lo sucedido en tantas ocasiones en el país, las peleas pudieron verse de manera fácil y gratuita, además de en directo, por lo que, ofreciendo además entretenidos rounds, parece necesario moderar la crítica a pesar de que los favoritos lograron como se preveía claras victorias.
En el caso del peso supermedio Damián Biacho 14(3KO)-0, éste no combatió finalmente contra el venezolano Juan Carlos Rodríguez, sino contra el púgil cubano Carlos Alberto Lamela 3(0KO)-3(1), al que venció de forma unánime y con tarjetas de 78-74, 78-75 y 77-75.
Cuando logró situarse en la distancia corta, Lamela mostró peligro, algo que quedó claro en el segundo asalto, en el que conectó buenos golpes de poder curvos. Sin embargo, su trabajo fue irregular y presionó de forma breve, por lo que, aunque el local no explotó tanto como en otras ocasiones su jab, Biacho pudo marcar la diferencia a su favor con sus más habituales combinaciones de hook y uppercut. Asimismo, cuando Biacho recibió golpes claros no tardó en contestar con oportunas contraofensivas que redujeron el efecto de los éxitos de Lamela.
De ese modo, y recurriendo además a pasos atrás o bloqueando bajo ataque y contestado en los intercambios cuerpo a cuerpo, “Guinea” logró vencer la mayoría de rounds, desgastó al final a su oponente y se hizo con una merecida victoria.
Mucho más amplio fue el dominio de la invicta peso pluma Jennifer Miranda 8(1KO)-0 sobre Eva Cantos 4(1KO)-10-1, si bien increíblemente el resultado fue de decisión mayoritaria debido a que un incompetente juez dio un 57-57. De todos modos, los otros dos sí supieron hacer su trabajo y dieron puntuaciones de 60-54 y 60-55.
Con un largo alcance y ventaja en técnica, Miranda manejó con destreza sus directos para conectar claros puños cuando tomó la iniciativa, mientras que sin ella controló bien la distancia para esquivar los curvos de Cantos y contragolpear con ganchos zurdos, cruzados diestros y otros puños. El enfrentamiento se estabilizó de esa manera, y aunque Cantos intentó presionar asalto tras asalto sus aciertos fueron muy limitados, usando Miranda su boxeo móvil para eludir la gran mayoría de golpes de su adversaria y golpearla con no muy numerosas manos pero con las suficientes para hacer evidente su dominio.
El tramo principal de la cartelera se inició con un triunfo de Álex Tirado 3(2KO)-1(1) en un choque del peso mosca ante Alejandro Torres 2(1KO)-15(4), siendo el resultado de decisión unánime y las puntuaciones de 60-53, 60-53 y 60-54.
Aunque Tirado contaba con notable ventaja en dimensiones no supo aprovecharla adecuadamente, ya que erró bastantes manos por las esquivas de cintura de Torres y, al quedarse en la distancia media o corta tras lanzar sus manos, se expuso a buenos contragolpes en curvo de mano adelantada. No obstante, a Torres le faltó mucha continuidad en tareas ofensivas, algo que sí tuvo Tirado, que con más frecuentes series, ganchos zurdos abajo combinados con uppercuts diestros y eventuales claros directos de derecha terminó situándose por delante y aumentando su ventaja antes de anotarse un knockdown con dos buenos hooks de izquierda abajo en el cuarto round.
Aun así, Torres no sucumbió y en los últimos dos episodios trató de contestar manteniéndose en el centro del ring o buscó esquivar y contragolpear cuando fue empujado a las cuerdas, por lo que llegó a la última campana pese a los golpes crecientemente precisos de Tirado.

At a time when fans can watch cards from almost anywhere in the world broadcast on YouTube, Spain finally followed suit and the Peláez-Taylor evening was aired in this way. However, his work was irregular and he pressed briefly, so although the local did not used his jab as much as on other occasions, Biacho was able to win the majority of the rounds with his more frequent combinations of hook and uppercut. Also, when Biacho received clear shots, he was quick to answer with opportune counteroffensives that reduced the effect of Lamela’s successes.
In this way, and resorting to steps back or blocking under attack and answering with grit in the exchanges, «Guinea» managed to take the lead, tired his opponent at the end and obtained a well-deserved victory.
Much more dominant was the performance of undefeated featherweight Jennifer Miranda 8(1KO)-0 over Eva Cantos 4(1KO)-10-1, although incredibly the result was a majority decision due to an incompetent judge giving a card of 57-57. In any case, the other two did know how to do their job and scored the bout 60-54 and 60-55.
With a long reach and advantage in technique, Miranda deftly used her straight hands to land clear punches when she took the initiative, while without it she controlled distance well to dodge Cantos’ hooks and counter with left hooks, right overhands and other shots. The bout stabilized in this way, and although Cantos tried to press round after round, her successes were very limited, while Miranda used her mobile boxing to avoid the vast majority of his opponent’s hands and hit her with not many shots but enough to make her dominance evident.
The main part of the card began with a victory for Álex Tirado 3(2KO)-1(1) in a flyweight clash over Alejandro Torres 2(1KO)-15(4). The scores for this unanimous decision were 60-53, 60-53 and 60-54.
Although Tirado had a notable advantage in dimensions, he did not know how to take advantage of it properly, since he missed many hands due to Torres’s waist dodges and, by staying in the medium or short distance after throwing his hands, he exposed himself to good counterpunches in lead hook. However, Torres lacked a lot of continuity in his offensives unlike Tirado, who with more frequent combinations, left hooks down linked with right uppercuts and eventual clear straight hands ended up increasing the difference in the cards before scoring a knockdown with two good left hooks down in the fourth round.
Still, Torres did not succumb, and in the last two rounds he tried to answer by staying in the center of the ring or sought to dodge and counter when he was pushed to the ropes, reaching the final bell despite Tirado’s increasingly accurate punches.
