Asror Vokhidov, Ivan Kozlovsky y Georgy Yunovidov lograron victorias

La última velada del año de RCC Boxing ofreció, antes de los cuatro combates principales del cartel, el triunfo de tres prospectos de la compañía, siendo uno de ellos el peso supergallo tayiko Asror Vokhidov 11(6KO)-1, que derribó dos veces y derrotó por decisión al duro Armen Ataev 7(4KO)-5(1)-1.
Aunque Ataev intentó presionar con firmeza, Vokhidov le recibió con duros ganchos al torso y, todavía en el primer round, se anotó un contundente knockdown con una heterodoxa mano adelantada. Esto no frenó a Ataev, sino que éste atacó posteriormente incluso con más determinación, pero la pegada, la selección de golpes y la astucia de Vokhidov, combinada con oportunistas agarres (que le costaron perder un punto en el cuarto round), le sirvieron para disminuir el peligro de su rival, que fue derribado por un excelente directo a la contra en el quinto asalto. De todos modos, esto tampoco fue suficiente para llevar a la derrota por detención a Ataev, que continuó luchando con valentía hasta el final.
En cuanto al prospecto del peso superligero Ivan Kozlovsky 7(3KO)-0, éste se anotó una buena victoria por decisión ante su compatriota Avak Uzlyan 5(2KO)-2-1.
Una vez más Uzlyan puso notable voluntad, pero el zurdo Kozlovsky estaba a otro nivel diferente en cuanto a habilidad, talento, astucia y rapidez. Así, aunque Uzlyan llegó con salteados puños, el invicto impactó afiladas izquierdas arriba o abajo al ataque, ofreció eficaces y brillantes acciones defensivas y contragolpeó con precisión con hooks al torso para ganar los asaltos y evidenciar su variedad de recursos técnicos. Es más, su certero trabajo al cuerpo mermó a Uzlyan, que cansado fue objetivo de cada vez más claros puños, si bien los resistió con entereza hasta el final.
Antes de ese enfrentamiento, el invicto peso pesado Georgy Yunovidov 7(4KO)-0 venció por abandono en el cuarto asalto al namibio Vikapita Meroro 30(15KO)-14(8).
Con un sólido uso del jab, algún uno-dos y ganchos al torso, Yunovidov neutralizó y desgastó al veterano Meroro, que en las cuerdas hizo lo que pudo por intentar lidiar con los precisos y constantes golpes de su adversario. Finalmente, un hook de izquierda al cuerpo puso en el tapiz al visitante, que se levantó y terminó el round pero que no salió al siguiente episodio.

Before the four main bouts on the card, RCC Boxing’s last evening of the year offered the wins of three prospects of the company, one of them being the Tajik super bantamweight Asror Vokhidov 11(6KO)-1, who knocked down twice and defeated the tough Armen Ataev 7(4KO)-5(1)-1 by decision.
Although Ataev tried to press firmly, Vokhidov answered him with hard body shots and, still in the first round, scored a hard knockdown with an unorthodox lead hand. This didn’t stop Ataev, since he later attacked with even more determination, but Vokhidov’s punch, hands selection and cunning, combined with opportunistic holds (which cost him losing a point in the fourth round), served him to reduce the danger of his opponent, who was knocked down by an excellent counter straight hand in the fifth round. However, this wasn’t enough to bring Ataev to a stoppage defeat, and the boxer continued to fight valiantly until the end.
As for super lightweight prospect Ivan Kozlovsky 7(3KO)-0, he scored a good decision win over his compatriot Avak Uzlyan 5(2KO)-2-1.
Once again Uzlyan offered remarkable will, but the southpaw Kozlovsky was on a different level in terms of skill, talent, cunning and quickness. Thus, although Uzlyan came in with some good punches, the unbeaten landed sharp left hands up or down, dodged brilliantly and effectively and countered with precision through hooks to the body to win the rounds and showcase his variety of technical resources. What’s more, his accurate work to the body tired Uzlyan, who was target of increasingly clear punches, although he resisted them with tenacity till the end.
Before that matchup, undefeated heavyweight Georgy Yunovidov 7(4KO)-0 beat Namibian Vikapita Meroro 30(15KO)-14(8) by fourth round corner stoppage.
With a solid use of the jab, some one-twos and hooks to the body, Yunovidov neutralized and wore down the veteran Meroro, who pinned on the ropes did his best to try to deal with the precise and constant blows of his opponent. Finally, a left hook to the body put the visitor on the mat, who got up and finished the round but did not come out for the next episode.
