Breve: “Vaquero” Navarrete deja vacante su cinturón del peso pluma

Con la captura del cinturón WBO del peso superpluma con un KOT en el noveno asalto sobre Liam Wilson, el mexicano Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarrete quedó en poder de dos cinturones mundiales, ya que también poseía el título WBO del peso pluma. Por ello, el organismo le dio un margen de tiempo para que decidiese qué cetro quería quedarse y a cuál de ellos renunciaba, optando Navarrete por abandonar su cinturón del peso pluma. Esto resulta lógico y previsible considerándose que su siguiente combate presuntamente será una pugna en el peso superpluma contra su compatriota Óscar Valdez.
Por otro lado, el duelo entre Robeisy Ramírez e Isaac Dogboe, que está programado para el 1 de abril, ya no será por el título interino WBO del peso pluma, sino por la corona mundial absoluta vacante.

After the capture of the WBO super featherweight belt with his ninth-round TKO over Liam Wilson, the Mexican Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarrete was in possession of two world belts, since he also held the WBO featherweight title. For this reason, the organization gave him some time to choose which crown he wanted to keep, Navarrete opting to relinquish his featherweight belt. This is a logical and predictable decision considering that his next fight will presumably be a super featherweight bout against his compatriot Óscar Valdez.
On the other hand, the fight between Robeisy Ramírez and Isaac Dogboe, which is scheduled for April 1, will no longer have the WBO interim featherweight title at stake, but the vacant full world title.
