El recinto The Armory en Minneapolis, Estados Unidos, presenciará esta noche una batalla entre los aguerridos Subriel Matías y Jeremías Ponce, que combatirán por el vacante cinturón IBF del peso superligero [63,5 kg o 140 lb] encabezando un evento de Premier Boxing Champions. Para este primer campeonato mundial de sus carreras, Matías y Ponce pesaron respectivamente 63,2 kg (139¼ lb) y 63,3 kg (139½ lb).
La cartelera principal de la velada contará también con otros dos combates. Uno de ellos, pactado en el peso wélter [66,7 kg o 147 lb], será entre Jamal James, que dio 66,6 kg (146¾ lb), y Alberto Palmetta, que marcó 66,7 kg (147 lb). El otro será en el peso superligero [63,5 kg o 140 lb] entre Elvis Rodríguez, que detuvo la romana en 63,4 kg (139¾ lb), y Joseph Adorno, que pesó 63,5 kg (140 lb).
Los tres combates serán televisados en Estados Unidos por Showtime desde las 21:00 ET/18:00 PT, las 3:00 de la madrugada en hora española.

The Armory in Minneapolis, United States, will be the venue for tonight’s battle between the aggressive boxers Subriel Matías and Jeremías Ponce, who will fight for the vacant IBF super lightweight belt [63.5 kg or 140 lb] headlining a Premier Boxing Champions event. For this first world championship of their careers, Matías and Ponce weighed in respectively 63.2 kg (139¼ lb) and 63.3 kg (139½ lb).
The main card of the evening will also feature two other bouts. One of them, agreed at welterweight [66.7 kg or 147 lbs], will be between Jamal James, who weighed 66.6 kg (146¾ lbs), and Alberto Palmetta, who was 66.7 kg (147 lbs). The other will be a super lightweight bout [63.5 kg or 140 lb] between Elvis Rodríguez, who tipped the scale at 63.4 kg (139¾ lb), and Joseph Adorno, who weighed in at 63.5 kg (140 lb).
All three bouts will be televised in the United States on Showtime starting at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT, 2:00 a.m. in UK time.
