Tonight, the Toyota Arena in Ontario, United States, will host a Premier Boxing Champions evening in which Brandon Figueroa and Mark Magsayo will fight for the interim WBC featherweight title [57.2 kg or 126 lbs] and, therefore, to become Rey Vargas’ next mandatory challenger. For this fight, Figueroa was 57.0 kg (125¾ lb), while Magsayo had problems with the weight and at his first attempt he came in at 57.5 kg (126.8 lb), needing almost two hours to return to the scale with a valid weight of 57.2 kg (126 lb).
Regarding the main support, the two fights will be middleweight bouts [72.6 kg or 160 lb]. In one, former world champion Jarrett Hurd, who tipped the scale at 72.2 kg (159¼ lb), will face José Armando Reséndiz, who was over the division limit with 73.0 kg (161 lb). In the other, Elijah Lorenzo García, who was the lightest of the four with 71.9 kg (158½ lb), will fight against Amilcar Vidal, who weighed 72.1 kg (159 lb).
