But the judges could not tolerate that result and gave unjustifiable scorecards of 76-76 and a disgusting 77-75 for Saad.
Matchups against Kulakhmet, Kieron Conway and Sergio Martinez had given McGowan great quality experience, as he controlled the actions against a theoretically clear favorite and almost made it look easy. Moving around the ring with calmness and order, McGowan imposed his jab and his straigh shots changing levels, dodged hands and countered with precision with left hooks up and down and right overhands.
