Múltiples fuentes han confirmado que los campeones mundiales del peso superpluma Shakur Stevenson y Óscar Valdez están muy cerca de pactar una unificación de coronas WBO-WBC. El enfrentamiento se produciría el 30 de abril en el MGM Grand de Las Vegas, Estados Unidos, país en el que la cartelera sería emitida por ESPN. Multiple sources have confirmed that super featherweight world champions Shakur Stevenson and Óscar Valdez are very close to agreeing terms for a WBO-WBC unification fight. The bout would take place on April 30 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, United States, country in which the card would be broadcasted by ESPN. Reportedly, there are still some issues to settle in the negotiations, including some of the financial aspects, but for now everything points to the materialization of this biggest duel of their careers.
Stevenson would access to the fight after beating the then super featherweight world champion Jamel Herring by TKO in the tenth round, while Valdez would do so after his controversial unanimous victory against Robson Conceição.
