El buen prospecto del peso ligero Gary Cully se enfrentará al “Títere” Vázquez en la velada de DAZN Wood-Conlan

La cartelera del Leigh Wood vs. Michael Conlan, que el día 12 de marzo ofrecerán Matchroom Boxing y DAZN desde el Arena de Nottingham, Reino Unido, ha expandido con un combate interesante más su respaldo confirmado. Después de añadir hace unos días el cruce entre las exmonarcas mundiales Terri Harper y Heather Hardy, ahora la compañía de Eddie Hearn ha anunciado un buen duelo entre un prometedor peso ligero irlandés y un muy correoso exmonarca mundial mexicano.
En este cruce los protagonistas serán, por un lado, el invicto Gary Cully 13(7KO)-0, peso ligero de 1,88 m de altura y buena calidad técnica, y por el otro el fogueadísimo Miguel “Títere” Vázquez 44(17KO)-10(2), en racha de dos victorias tras su controvertida derrota contra Lewis Ritson. Así, ante un muy exigente veterano que quiere lograr una última mayúscula pugna, un púgil situado en el 8º puesto WBO encarará su mayor test hasta la fecha, tratando de demostrar en él que está listo para la cumbre y que merece el apoyo de Matchroom Boxing en adelante.
Respecto a este punto, en cuanto se confirmó el duelo, Cully expresó lo siguiente en su cuenta de Twitter:

The undercard of the bill Leigh Wood vs. Michael Conlan, which on March 12 will be offered by Matchroom Boxing and DAZN from the Nottingham Arena, United Kingdom, has expanded with an another interesting match confirmed. After adding a few days ago the fight between former world champions Terri Harper and Heather Hardy, now Eddie Hearn’s company has announced a good duel between a promising lightweight and a very tough former world belt holder.
In this match the protagonists will be, on one hand, the undefeated Irish Gary Cully 13(7KO)-0, 6’ 2” boxer with good skillset, and on the other the rugged Miguel «Títere» Vázquez 44(17KO)-10(2), on a streak of two victories after his controversial defeat against Lewis Ritson. Thus, against a difficult veteran who wants to achieve one more major fight, a boxer ranked as 8th WBO will face his biggest test to date, trying to show in it that he is ready for the summit of the division and that he deserves the support of Matchroom Boxing from now on.
