La cartelera principal del Fayfer-Aliev II se inició con la merecida victoria por decisión del peso superwélter ruso Sergei Vorobev 17(11KO)-1 sobre el uzbeko Ulugbek Sobirov 11(6KO)-2, que ofreció una dura pugna en la que el favorito se vio obligado a remontar una difícil primera mitad.
En el primer asalto Sobirov, bien preparado y explosivo, llegó con duros directos de mano adelantada y ganchos zurdos. Vorobev tuvo éxito con algunos derechazos, pero en la mayoría de los siguientes asaltos siguió recibiendo los certeros golpes de poder del visitante en directo y hook. Además, tras dos cabezazos, uno de los cuales provocó un corte en su rival, Vorobev perdió un punto. Así, tras cuatro asaltos la situación era crítica para él.
No obstante, en el quinto asalto el local desplegó con mucho éxito insistente golpeo al torso, iniciando una remontada que continuó en líneas generales durante toda la segunda mitad. El uzbeko Sobirov replicó con buenos directos las entradas de su oponente y su jab siguió siendo sólido, pero Vorobev fue persistente con sus ganchos zurdos arriba y abajo y con sus hooks al cuerpo y efectuó oportunos bloqueos y esquivas dinámicas, logrando por poco el triunfo.
Este combate fue sucedido por un corto pero intenso duelo del peso ligero en el que el prospecto ruso-georgiano Tigran Uzlyan 5(3KO)-0 se levantó de un knockdown para derrotar en el segundo asalto al ruso Alexander Kuimchidi 2(1KO)-3(2).
En el primer episodio un gancho zurdo en un cruce de golpes hizo que Uzlyan cayese aparatosamente a la lona. Con todo, el boxeador se rehízo, alcanzó el segundo asalto y comenzó a trabajar con dureza con sus combinaciones de hooks hasta dejar tocado a Kuimchidi, que mientras se desplazaba intentando evitar el hostigamiento rival vio como su esquina tiraba la toalla.

The main card of the event Fayfer-Aliev II began with the deserved victory by decision of Russian super welterweight Sergei Vorobev 17(11KO)-1 over Uzbek Ulugbek Sobirov 11(6KO)-2, who offered a tough fight in which the favorite was forced to rally after a difficult first half.
In the first round Sobirov, well-prepared and explosive, came in with hard jabs and left hooks. Vorobev was successful with a few right hands, but in the majority of the next rounds he continued to receive the visitor’s well-aimed power shots in straight and hook. In addition, after two headbutts, one of which caused a cut in his rival, Vorobev lost a point. Thus, after four rounds the situation was critical for him.
However, in the fifth round the local successfully deployed insistent punches to the torso, initiating a comeback that continued throughout the second half. The Uzbek Sobirov countered his opponent’s attacks with good straight punches, and his jab remained solid, but Vorobev was persistent with his left hooks up and down and his body shots, and used opportune blocks and dynamic dodges, narrowly obtaining the triumph.
This bout was followed by a short but intense lightweight duel in which Russian-Georgian prospect Tigran Uzlyan 5(3KO)-0 rose from a knockdown to achieve a second-round technical knockout win over Russian Alexander Kuimchidi 2(1KO)-3(2).
In the first round, a left hook in an exchange caused Uzlyan to fall spectacularly to the canvas. However, the boxer recovered, reached the second round and began to work hard with his hook combinations until Kuimchidi was hurt. He tried to move to avoid his rival’s attacks, but his corner threw in the towel.
