Después de que los diversos tests que se le buscaron no supusiesen a penas un reto para el muy prometedor peso superligero Khariton Agrba 9(5KO)-0, y cinco meses después de su fácil victoria ante el exretador mundial Petr Petrov, anoche se le situó delante a Avak Uzlyan 5(2KO)-1-1, un boxeador invicto, con ambición, notable carrera amateur y que llegaba de sacar un empate contra el intrincado extop 15 Aik Shakhnazaryan. Sin embargo, aunque Uzlyan resistió mucho y puso notable esfuerzo tampoco pudo generar grandes dificultades a Agrba, que se impuso por amplísima decisión unánime mostrando su fantástico boxeo.
Con no poca astucia Uzlyan llegó con alguna mano diestra a la contra, algo que ya fue un logro contra su eficaz adversario, pero el zurdo Agrba utilizó su gran velocidad y precisión para alcanzarle con afiladísimos directos de izquierda, uppercuts, cruzados diestros y duros hooks al torso entre fluidas entradas y salidas y diagonales. A diferencia de otros púgiles, Uzlyan aguantó bien los golpes y replicó lo mejor que pudo, llegando incluso a realizar alguna contraofensiva, pero Agrba continuó desbordando al ataque, llevándose la mejor parte en los intercambios en corta y reduciendo los éxitos de su rival con su defensa.
Superado en todas las distancias y golpeado en innumerables trayectorias, especialmente por duros hooks al torso, Uzlyan comenzó a mostrar cansancio y a bajar los brazos, así que el torbellino Agrba intensificó sus ataques y conectó peligrosísimos ganchos y uppercuts. Pero Uzlyan nuevamente soportó el castigo, lanzó manos para intentar disuadir ataques y, una vez que Agrba se dio cuenta de que no iba a lograr noquearle, incluso trató de arrojar ataques contra el favorito con mucha más valentía que acierto.
En estos momentos Agrba puede ser el mejor prospecto mundial del peso superligero, pareciendo que hoy por hoy ya podría enfrentarse con grandes posibilidades de éxito a muchos top 15. No obstante, con solo nueve peleas todavía es pronto para precipitarlo hacia pruebas de fuego y quizás su equipo quiera darle un buen puñado de rounds de experiencia en sólidos tests durante este año antes de que encare choques de gran nivel internacional.
Épico combate
Sin duda, el mejor combate del evento Agrba-Uzlyan fue el que sostuvieron en el peso ligero Nachyn Chambaldoo 6(3KO)-1-1 y Soslan Baev 7(3KO)-1, que ofrecieron una extraordinaria batalla repleta de golpes de poder en la que, increíblemente, lograron alcanzar la última campana. Este combate candidato a pelea del año en el boxeo ruso terminó con merecida victoria a los puntos de Baev.
Los púgiles conectaron muy contundentes manos en la distancia media-corta entre oscilaciones en la posesión de la iniciativa antes de que en el quinto asalto Baev dejase seriamente tocado a Chambaldoo con un cruzado diestro. El boxeador afectado se vio en graves problemas e incluso, desesperado, se agarró a una de las piernas de su rival, haciéndole caer. Pero logró seguir adelante en la intensa pelea cruzando potentes derechazos y hooks con su rival hasta que Baev padeció una hemorragia nasal y se cansó.
No obstante, en los fuertes cruces de golpes Chambaldoo terminó sufriendo una hemorragia nasal mucho peor, manteniéndose los igualados y épicos intercambios, en los que los dos parecían dar muestras de flaqueza antes de terminar sacudiendo a su adversario. Con todo, ninguno de los dos se derrumbó y, aunque Baev tuvo más acciones significativas, los agotados boxeadores continuaron sacando fieras ofensivas entre fantásticos intercambios hasta el final.

After the various tests that were sought for him were hardly a challenge for the very promising super lightweight Khariton Agrba 9(5KO)-0, and five months after his easy victory against former world challenger Petr Petrov, last night the boxer faced Avak Uzlyan 5(2KO)-1-1, an undefeated boxer with ambition, a notable amateur career and who had a draw against the tricky extop 15 Aik Shakhnazaryan. However, although Uzlyan showed a lot of resistance and put in a lot of effort, he couldn’t create great difficulties for Agrba either, who won by a very wide unanimous decision proving again that he has a fantastic boxing.
Quite cunningly, Uzlyan landed a few right hands on the counter, something that was already an achievement against his efficient opponent, but the southpaw Agrba used his great speed and precision to connect sharp left hands, uppercuts, right hooks up and hard hooks to the body smoothly going in and out. Unlike other fighters, Uzlyan took the shots well and countered the best he could, even throwing some counteroffensives, but Agrba continued to overwhelm on the attack, had way better results in the exchanges at close range and reduced his rival’s successes with his good defense.
Outmatched at all distances and hit in countless angles, and especially by powerful hooks to the body, Uzlyan began to show fatigue and to lower his arms, so the whirlwind Agrba intensified his attacks and landed dangerous hooks and uppercuts. But Uzlyan again resisted the punishment, threw dissuasive punches and (once Agrba realized that he wasn’t going to knock out his rival) he even tried to launch attacks against the favorite with much more courage than accuracy.
Right now Agrba may be the world’s best super lightweight prospect, and it seems that he could already face many ranked boxers with great chances of success. However, with only nine fights it is still early to rush him into decisive tests and perhaps his team will want to give him a good number of rounds on solid tests during this year before facing high level international clashes.
Epic fight
Without a doubt, the best fight of the Agrba-Uzlyan card was the lightweight clash between Nachyn Chambaldoo 6(3KO)-1-1 and Soslan Baev 7(3KO)-1, who offered an extraordinary battle full of power shots in which, incredibly, they managed to reach the last bell. This fight of the year candidate in Russian boxing ended with a deserved victory for Baev.
The boxers landed very forceful hands in the mid-close distance between oscillations in the possession of the initiative before, in the fifth round, Baev hurt Chambaldoo with a right hook. Chambaldoo had serious problems and even, out of desperation, he grabbed one of the legs of his rival making him fall. But he managed to stay in the intense fight exchanging powerful right hands and hooks with his opponent until Baev suffered a nosebleed and tired considerably.
However, in the hard exchanges of shots Chambaldoo ended up suffering from a much worse nosebleed, so the bout kept having epic and even action, in which the two seemed to show signs of weakness before ending up staggering their opponent. But neither man broke down, and despite Baev having more meaningful successes, the exhausted fighters continued to throw out fierce attacks between fantastic exchanges until the very end.
