El Consejo Mundial de Boxeo ha anunciado oficialmente que Josh Taylor ha renunciado al cinturón mundial WBC del peso superligero. De ese modo, el organismo ha ordenado ya una pugna por el título vacante entre José “Chon” Zepeda y José Carlos Ramírez, pelea que se negociará dentro de Top Rank, puesto que ambos son miembros de esta compañía. Así, el excampeón indiscutido del peso superligero Taylor ha perdido ya sus títulos WBA y WBC y sólo le restan en su poder el IBF y el WBO.

The World Boxing Council has officially announced that Josh Taylor has relinquished his WBC world super lightweight belt. The sanctioning body has already ordered a fight for the vacant title between José «Chon» Zepeda and José Carlos Ramírez, a duel that will be negotiated within Top Rank, since both are members of this promotional company. Thus, the former undisputed super lightweight champion Taylor has already lost his WBA and WBC titles and only the IBF and WBO belts remain in his power.
