Casi siempre, cuando una velada cambia de fecha lo hace para conseguir más tiempo tras un imprevisto, pero exactamente lo opuesto es lo que ha sucedido con la velada de Golden Boy Promotions/DAZN encabezada por el enfrentamiento del peso ligero Joseph “Jo Jo” Díaz vs. William «El Camarón» Zepeda. Y es que después de haber estado proyectada para el 5 de noviembre y para el 19 de ese mismo mes, finalmente la velada tendrá lugar el día 29 de octubre en el Pechanga Arena en San Diego, Estados Unidos.
Este extraño movimiento en el calendario inevitablemente generará muchas especulaciones, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que se había hablado de que Jaime Munguía sería quien encabezaría un evento en esa fecha y lugar. Además, se debe tener en cuenta que en los últimos días se ha apuntado a la posibilidad de que Munguía se enfrente a John Ryder en un estadio británico en los próximos meses.
