La campeona mundial IBF del peso mínimo Yokasta Valle unificó su cinto con el WBO derrotando por amplísima decisión unánime a la hasta entonces titular mundial Thi Thu Nhi Nguyen. En el combate coestelar, Adelaida “La Cobra” Ruiz venció también por muy clara decisión unánime a Sonia Osorio y se convirtió en aspirante obligatoria de la campeona WBC del peso supermosca Lourdes Juárez. Las tres primeras peleas de la velada Valle-Nguyen fueron la victoria por decisión dividida de Ofacio Falcón contra José Manuel Pérez, una extraña derrota por KOT de Kyle Erwin ante Lorenzo Garro y una controvertida victoria de Keling Fonseca sobre José Alvarado. Pasando al viernes, en concreto al evento de ShoBox: The New Generation, el ahora peso superligero Joseph “Blessed Hands” Adorno derribó y venció por decisión unánime de los jueces a Hugo “Nato” Roldán en el combate estelar.

En el semifondo, duelo del peso pluma, Bernard Angelo “La Máquina” Torres se levantó de la lona y tuvo una buena segunda mitad, pareciendo que había logrado remontar. Pero los jueces le dieron una cuestionable decisión dividida a su adversario Frency Fortunato Saya.

La emisión de este evento también contó con la derrota del peso wélter Janelson Figueroa Bocachica ante Roiman “Flaco de Oro” Villa, que se anotó un knockdown e impuso su potencia hasta conseguir una amplia victoria por decisión unánime.

Cambiando de evento, la cartelera principal del evento canadiense de Eye of the Tiger Management a penas se prolongó, puesto que el peso supermedio Christian “Solide” Mbilli aplastó a DeAndre “Axeman” Ware en dos asaltos, Mary Elizabeth Spencer terminó en el primer round con Cynthia “Canelita” Lozano y Simon “The Grizzly” Kean ni siquiera necesitó lanzar un puño para vencer a Newfel Ouatah.

Algo más tuvo que trabajar el peso minimosca Regie “Filipino Phenom” Suganob ante Andika D’Golden Boy, ya que la pelea alcanzó la última campana. Respecto al evento de ProBox TV, el peso crucero estadounidense Brandon “Bulletproof” Glanton 17(14KO)-0 hizo exactamente lo esperado y terminó por KOT en el segundo asalto con el mexicano, de modesto nivel, Mario “El Ruso” Aguilar 22(18KO)-8(5), apuntando tras el combate a una pugna contra el campeón WBO Lawrence Okolie. Se materialice o no ese duelo, lo que está claro es que Glanton es otro púgil más que necesita abandonar las pugnas ante rivales a medida y afrontar retos exigentes ante boxeadores con aspiraciones, especialmente estando bien clasificado y pretendiendo alcanzar un mundial.
En cuanto al respaldo, el peso superpluma Otar “Pitbull” Eranosyan 12(6KO)-0 no tuvo una actuación tan contundente como se esperaba pero igualmente derrotó por decisión unánime (78-73 y doble 77-74) al mexicano César “Corazón” Juárez 27(20KO)-12(4), debiendo centrarse ya en duelos a diez rounds que le ranqueen y le preparen para combates importantes. Por otro lado, la pelea entre los pesos supermedios Hakim López 13(8KO)-1 y Richard VanSiclen 13(6KO)-0 terminó con el segundo venciendo por decisión unánime (78-75 doble y 78-74) este mayor duelo de su carrera hasta la fecha, triunfo que le asegurará nuevas apariciones en eventos significativos.
Finalmente en cuanto al viernes, el invicto peso wélter canadiense Josh “The Boss” Wagner 13(7KO)-0 superó su paso adelante ante Jorge “Soldado” Pérez 13(5KO)-3(2) batiéndolo por KOT en el noveno round, aunque el hecho de que pugnase por un título menor de un organismo no reconocido sugiere que su equipo no tiene en mente, al menos por ahora, hacerle afrontar retos de mucha exigencia ni exponerlo a una derrota.
Sábado 10 de septiembre
El evento más importante de la semana, que iba a contar con los campeonatos Savannah Marshall vs. Claressa Shields y Mikaela Mayer vs. Alycia Baumgardner, terminó aplazado:

En cuanto a la velada de AGON Sports, como se podría prever el cinturón de la Unión Europa del peso medio fue perdido por el titular Marten Arsumanjan 12(6KO)-2(1)-2 y conquistado por Bjoern Schicke 20(10KO)-1(1)-1, que venció la revancha con una decisión unánime (triple 115-112). Por ahora, Schicke deberá esperar para ver quién selecciona la EBU como su retador obligatorio, aunque siendo el campeón de Europa Anderson Prestot y su retador obligatorio Matteo Signani, lo cierto es que tendría opciones de victoria si pelease por el máximo título continental ante uno de estos dos boxeadores.
Respecto al resto de combates destacables de la velada, el peso superwélter Haro Matevosyan 16(9KO)-0 y el peso medio Vincenzo Gualtieri 20(7KO)-0-1 lograron victorias por decisión unánime (ambos con doble 118-110 y un 116-112) sobre Jhony Navarrete 35(15KO)-18(5)-2 y Vincenzo Bevilacqua 18(0KO)-2 que deberían verse sucedidas ya, de una vez por todas, por pruebas de fuego ante oponentes de nivel alto. Por otro lado, el invicto peso supermedio Dimitar Tilev 15(8KO)-1(1) fue vencido por KOT en el segundo asalto por el español José Luis Navarro 6(6KO)-0, que demostró su pegada una vez más y despuntó como un nombre a tener en cuenta en la escena continental.
La otra velada alemana de la jornada, la organizada por Universum, dejó una victoria por knockout en el cuarto asalto del exaspirante mundial Vincent Feigenbutz sobre Diego “El Chacarero” Ramirez con la que continuó su escalada en el peso medio. Crónica y vídeo del evento siguiendo el enlace:

Estos otros combates también tuvieron lugar el sábado:
-El exmonarca mundial minimosca Masamichi Yabuki 14(13KO)-4(2) regresó a la senda del triunfo batiendo por KOT en el séptimo asalto al tailandés Thanongsak Simsri 24(22KO)-1(1).
-El campeón de Argentina del peso ligero Claudio Daneff 16(8KO)-2(1)-1 ganó por decisión unánime (98-92, 97-93 y 96-94) su combate de rodaje ante Christian “El Elegante” Andino 16(2KO)-5(1)-2 antes de, en teoría, cerrar el año en una pugna de mayor calibre.
-El otro evento canadiense de DAZN terminó con un pleno de victorias de los favoritos en los combates principales. El peso medio Sukhdeep Singh Bhatti 13(5KO)-0 derrotó por decisión unánime (100-90 y doble 99-91) a Xhuljo Vrenozi 18(3KO)-5(3), el peso crucero Salar Gholami 6(3KO)-0 batió por KOT en el tercer round a Sylvera Louis 8(4KO)-8(7) y el peso superwélter Brandon Cook 23(16KO)-2(1) terminó en el segundo asalto con Stepan Horvath 21(11KO)-7(5). Con todo, no es ni mucho menos seguro que estas victorias vayan a ser sucedidas por pasos adelante para estos púgiles.
Domingo 11 de septiembre
El peso ligero Zaur Abdullaev siguió mostrando que está en el mejor momento de su carrera forzando el abandono del pegador mexicano Jovanni Straffon en el quinto asalto, siendo posible que dispute una eliminatoria final en su próxima subida al ring.

El semifondo de este evento de RCC Boxing terminó con una nueva victoria del peso medio Vadim Tukov, que batió por KOT en el sexto round a Brian Chaves. Antes de este combate el peso superpluma Muhammadkhuja Yaqubov derribó y derrotó por decisión a Carlos Córdoba y el peso ligero Vildan Minasov venció en el primer round a Karen Margaryan.

Thursday, September 8
The IBF minimumweight world champion Yokasta Valle unified her belt with the WBO by defeating with a very wide unanimous decision the then titleholder Thi Thu Nhi Nguyen. Thus, Valle is now two belts away from the division’s undisputed title. Article and video of the fight following the link.
In the co-main event, Adelaida “La Cobra” Ruiz defeated Sonia Osorio by a very clear unanimous decision and became the mandatory challenger for the WBC super flyweight champion Lourdes Juárez. Moving on to Friday, specifically to the ShoBox: The New Generation event, super lightweight Joseph “Blessed Hands” Adorno knocked down and defeated by unanimous decision Hugo “Nato” Roldán in the main event. Read more following the link.
In the co-feature, a featherweight duel, Bernard Angelo “La Máquina” Torres got up from the canvas and had a good second half, looking like he achieved a come back. But the judges gave a questionable split decision victory to his opponent Frency Fortunato Saya. Read more following the link.
The broadcast of this event also included the defeat of welterweight Janelson Figueroa Bocachica against Roiman “Flaco de Oro” Villa, who scored a knockdown and imposed his power till reaching a lopsided unanimous decision victory. Read more following the link.
The main card of the Eye of the Tiger Management event barely lasted more than five minutes, as super middleweight Christian “Solide” Mbilli beat DeAndre “Axeman” Ware in two rounds, Mary Elizabeth Spencer got rid of Cynthia “Canelita” Lozano in the first round and Simon “The Grizzly” Kean didn’t even need to throw a punch to beat Newfel Ouatah. Regarding the ProBox TV card, the American cruiserweight Brandon “Bulletproof” Glanton 17(14KO)-0 did exactly what was expected and defeated by TKO in the second round low-level Mexican Mario “El Ruso” Aguilar 22( 18KO)-8(5), aiming after the fight to a matchup against WBO champion Lawrence Okolie. Whether or not that duel materializes, what is clear is that Glanton is another fighter who needs to stop fighting tailor-made opponents and face demanding challenges against boxers with aspirations, especially taking into account that he has a position in the rankings and pretends to battle in a world championship.
As for the support, super featherweight Otar «Pitbull» Eranosyan 12(6KO)-0 did not have as strong a performance as expected but he still defeated by unanimous decision (78-73 and double 77-74) Mexican César «Corazón» Juárez 27(20KO)-12(4), having to focus now on ten-round bouts that can rank him and prepare him for important fights. On the other hand, the fight between the super middleweights Hakim López 13(8KO)-1 and Richard VanSiclen 13(6KO)-0 ended with the latter winning by unanimous decision (78-75 double and 78-74) this biggest duel of his career to date, victory that will ensure him further appearances in significant events.
Finally as for Friday, the undefeated Canadian welterweight Josh “The Boss” Wagner 13(7KO)-0 overcame his step forward against Jorge “Soldado” Pérez 13(5KO)-3(2) beating him by TKO in the ninth round. However, the fact that he was fighting for a minor title from an unrecognized organization suggests that his team does not have in mind, at least for now, to make him face big challenges that could expose him to defeat.

The most important event of the week, which was going to feature the championships Savannah Marshall vs. Claressa Shields and Mikaela Mayer vs. Alycia Baumgardner, ended up being postponed. Read more following the link.

The other German evening of the day, the one organized by Universum, had a fourth-round knockout victory of former world title challenger Vincent Feigenbutz over Diego “El Chacarero” Ramirez, with which he continued his climb in the middleweight division. Lightweight Zaur Abdullaev kept showing that he is in the best moment of his career by forcing a corner stoppage in the fifth round in his fight against the Mexican puncher Jovanni Straffon. The co-main event of this RCC Boxing card ended with a new victory for the middleweight prospect Vadim Tukov, who defeated Brian Chaves by TKO in the sixth round.
