Los prospectos Callum Walsh y Omar Cande lograron contundentes victorias

Además del Bohachuk-Coley, la velada de UFC Fight Pass organizada por Tom Loeffler ofreció dos contundentes victorias de dos invictos prospectos que se mostraron listos para nuevos pasos adelante en sus trayectorias. Uno de ellos fue el peso superwélter irlandés Callum Walsh 5(4KO)-0 que batió en el tercer asalto al estadounidense Delen Parsley 13(4KO)-1(1).
Parsley empezó usando bien sus rectos ante las entradas y salidas de su rival, pero Walsh impactó una izquierda que hizo que el local perdiese el control de su pierna derecha y terminase cayendo al intentar retroceder. Tras intentar terminar el combate sin lograrlo antes del final del primer asalto, Walsh tuvo calma en el segundo asalto, variando sus ataques hasta que con un gancho zurdo al cuerpo hizo poner la rodilla en la lona brevemente a Parsley.
De nuevo, en la reanudación el irlandés intentó acabar la pelea pero no hubo tiempo para mucho y no logró más que empujar a la lona a su contrincante. Con todo, finalmente en el tercer round, tras algunos jabs de Parsley en momentos con limitada actividad, un brutal izquierdazo de Walsh (acompañado de un posterior uppercut) derrumbó de espaldas a la lona a su oponente y concluyó la pugna.
Por otro lado, el peso pluma estadounidense Omar Cande 10(8KO)-0-1 derrotó en el segundo asalto a su compatriota José Edgardo García 13(9KO)-3(2)-3.
Cande se movió alrededor de su adversario mostrando su rapidez de manos a través de jabs y breves combinaciones y eludiendo bastantes golpes de García. Éste intentó llevar a las cuerdas al invicto con su presión, y lo logró brevemente, pero las acciones defensivas de Cande le permitieron eludir la mayoría de puños, reposicionarse y conectar algunas contras en directo. Alcanzando el segundo round, Cande lanzó un uno-dos seguido por ganchos al torso que hicieron que García retrocediese hasta el ensogado, donde recibió un par de brutales uppercuts y algunos curvos más sin respuesta. Entonces, aunque pareció que se precipitaba un tanto, el árbitro paró la pelea.

In addition to the Bohachuk-Coley fight, the evening broadcast by UFC Fight Pass and organized by Tom Loeffler featured two stoppage wins from two undefeated prospects who looked ready for new steps forward in their careers. One of them was Irish super welterweight Callum Walsh 5(4KO)-0, who beat American Delen Parsley 13(4KO)-1(1) in the third round.
Parsley started the fight using his straight shots well against the going in and out of his opponent, but Walsh landed a hard left that made the local losing control of his right leg and end up falling trying to move back. After trying to finish the fight without success before the end of the first round, Walsh was calm in the second round, varying his attacks until, with a left hook to the body, scored a flash knockdown.
Again, at the restart the Irishman tried to finish the fight, but there wasn’t time for much and he only managed to push his opponent to the canvas. However, in the third round, after some jabs from Parsley in moments with limited activity, a brutal left hand from Walsh (followed by an uppercut) made his opponent fall on his back and concluded the fight.
On the other hand, the American featherweight Omar Cande 10(8KO)-0-1 defeated his compatriot José Edgardo García 13(9KO)-3(2)-3 in the second round.
Cande moved around his opponent showing his hand speed through jabs and short combinations and dodging quite a few punches from Garcia. The underdog tried to take the undefeated to the ropes, and he succeeded briefly in that objective, but Cande’s defensive actions allowed him to elude most of the shots, reposition himself and land some counter right hands. In the second round, Cande threw a one-two followed by hooks to the body that made Garcia move back to the ropes, where he took a couple of brutal uppercuts and a few unanswered hooks. So, although it seemed a bit too early, the referee stopped the fight.
