Kazuto Ioka disputará una de sus más difíciles peleas en ordenada pugna mundialista contra Junto Nakatani

Centrándonos sólo en su carrera reciente, el campeón mundial WBO del peso supermosca Kazuto Ioka ha tenido peleas muy ajustadas ante Joshua Franco, Ryoji Fukunaga, Francisco Rodríguez Jr. y Jeyvier Cintrón, pareciendo que está sólo a un paso en aumento de dificultad de sufrir una clara derrota. Pues bien, en unos meses Ioka afrontará una pugna que, sobre el papel, es mucho más complicada que las anteriores.
Y es que la WBO ha ordenado oficialmente que Ioka se mida al excampeón mundial del peso mosca Junto Nakatani, invicto boxeador zurdo, 8 años más joven, con ventaja en pegada y dimensiones que además está mostrando una gran destreza y control táctico. Como ejemplo de ello se puede mencionar que Nakatani venció mucho más claramente que Ioka al citado “Chihuas” Rodríguez Jr.
Así, aunque el objetivo de Ioka es intentar unificar su cinturón, realmente debería concentrarse en tratar de evitar que Nakatani le destrone, ya que el segundo tiene muy serias opciones de batirlo y coronarse en una segunda división.
Según la carta emitida por la WBO, los equipos de Ioka y Nakatani, respectivamente Shisei Boxing Gym y Teiken Promotions, tienen ahora 30 días para alcanzar un acuerdo o se llegará a una subasta con pujas mínimas de 100.000 dólares.

Analyzing only his recent career, WBO world super flyweight champion Kazuto Ioka has had very close fights against Joshua Franco, Ryoji Fukunaga, Francisco Rodríguez Jr. and Jeyvier Cintrón, looking like he could suffer a clear defeat if he steps up in competition. Well, in a few months Ioka will face a fight that, on paper, is much more complicated than his previous ones.
The WBO has officially ordered a title bout between Ioka and former world flyweight champion Junto Nakatani, an undefeated southpaw, 8 years younger, with punch and size advantage and who is also showing great skill and tactical control. As an example of this can be mentioned that Nakatani defeated the aforementioned «Chihuas» Rodríguez Jr. much more clearly than Ioka.
Thus, although Ioka’s objective is unify belts, he should really focus on trying to prevent Nakatani from dethroning him, since the latter has a very serious chance of beating him and become a two division champion.
According to the letter issued by the WBO, the teams of Ioka and Nakatani, respectively Shisei Boxing Gym and Teiken Promotions, now have 30 days to reach an agreement or they will clash in a purse bid with minimum acceptable bids of $100,000.
