Al igual que la semana pasada, la actividad relevante se iniciará en Canadá con una velada emitida por ESPN+, en este caso organizada por Eye of the Tiger Management desde el Casino de Montreal. El combate estelar será un buen combate del peso supermedio en el que prometedor pegador Christian “Solide” Mbilli 23(20KO)-0, 2º WBC, buscará hacer una declaración de intenciones (sobre sus planes de asaltar la cumbre de la división en breve) enfrentándose al ecuatoriano Carlos Góngora 21(16KO)-1, más conocido por su victoria contra pronóstico sobre el prospecto Ali Akhmedov y por su derrota por decisión ante Lerrone Richards.
En el respaldo, el peso superligero Steve Claggett 33(23KO)-7(1)-2 y el peso pesado Simon Kean 22(21KO)-1(1) disputarán rodajes, respectivamente, ante el mexicano Rafael “Furioso” Guzmán 26(16KO)-2-2 y el estadounidense Eric Molina 29(21KO)-8(8).
Viernes 24 de marzo
La mayor velada del viernes será la organizada por Wasserman desde el Bolton Whites Hotel de Bolton, Reino Unido, siendo la cartelera principal televisada por Channel 5. En el combate estelar, el excampeón de la Commonwealth del peso semipesado Lyndon “King” Arthur 21(15KO)-1(1), 11º WBO y 12º WBA, tratará de lograr su victoria más significativa desde que fue noqueado por Anthony Yarde combatiendo contra el argentino Brian Nahuel Suárez 18(17KO)-1(1), un boxeador con gran pegada y que estuvo bien clasificado pero que sufrió un gran revés ante el olímpico Albert Ramírez (KO en uno) que frenó en seco sus aspiraciones.
En cuanto al acompañamiento de este choque, el buen prospecto kazajo del peso superpluma, top 15 en tres organismos, Sultan Zaurbek 13(9KO)-0 pondrá fin a once meses de inactividad en un rodaje ante el argentino Reuquén Arce 15(7KO)-9(3)-2, y los peso superligero Conah Walker 11(3KO)-1-1 y Kane Gardner 15(7KO)-2 se verán las caras en un bien emparejado e interesante cruce.
Por otro lado, en el Allianz Cloud de Milán, Italia, ESPN+ emitirá un evento de OPI que perfectamente habría podido ser ofrecido, como tantos otros, por el YouTube de la federación italiana, ya que sólo habrá dos peleas destacables. En cualquier caso, en el combate estelar el prospecto italiano del peso supermedio Ivan Zucco 16(14KO)-0, 15º WBC, evitará llegar a un año de inactividad, y tratará de afianzar su posición en la lista, peleando por un título menor ante un competente boxeador como el excampeón inglés Germaine Brown 12(3KO)-1, que sólo ha sido derrotado por el hábil Zak Chelli.
En el choque coestelar el campeón de Italia del peso superwélter, el pegador Francesco Russo 12(10KO)-2(2), afrontará la primera defensa de su título ante un boxeador con buen encaje como Christian Mazzon 9(3KO)-4.
Por lo demás, el viernes se pueden mencionar estos otros duelos:
-En el Talisay City Sports Complex de Talisay City, Filipinas, el prospecto del peso minimosca John Paul Gabunilas 9(6KO)-1 intentará aparecer en el ranking WBO pugnando por un cinturón menor ante el joven indonesio Wandi Priman Hulu 2(0KO)-0-1, que en su segunda pugna profesional empató contra un boxeador entonces invicto y con casi veinte triunfos como Andika D’Golden Boy.
-En el BSFZ Sudstadt de Maria Enzersdorf, Austria, el invicto peso supermedio Bernardin Jakaj 13(8KO)-0 disputará su mayor test hasta la fecha ante el serbio Marko Nikolić 30(12KO)-2(2), que en su combate más importante dejó tocado al citado Zucco antes de que éste le derrotase.
-En el Monaco Hotel & Resort de Villa Carlos Paz, Argentina, Direct Tv emitirá un campeonato de Argentina y de Sudámerica del peso supermosca en el que Carla Ayelén “Muñeca” Merino 10(2KO)-2 se medirá a Débora Vanesa Gómez 8(1KO)-8-2, a la que en 2021 derrotó por mínima diferencia.
Sábado 25 de marzo
El mayor combate de la semana será el choque del peso supermedio entre los archirivales, y excampeones mundiales, David Benavídez y Caleb Plant, que deberían ofrecer un emocionante espectáculo. Previa del combate siguiendo el link.
En el respaldo principal del Benavídez-Plant se producirán bien emparejados duelos. Los jóvenes prospectos del peso superwélter Jesús Ramos y Joey Spencer se enfrentarán en un muy interesante encuentro coestelar, los peso ligero Chris Colbert y José Valenzuela buscarán rebotar de duras derrotas y Cody Crowley y Abel Ramos pugnarán en una potencialmente entretenida pelea. La citada velada de PBC no será ni mucho menos la única destacada de la jornada, puesto que Top Rank ofrecerá por ESPN una cartelera en la que se producirá un interesante choque de estilos entre dos excampeones mundiales como José Carlos Ramírez y Richard Commey. Además, en la pugna coestelar, Seniesa Estrada y Tina Rupprecht unificarán dos títulos mundiales del peso mínimo. Previa de los combates siguiendo el link.
Además, el sábado se desarrollará un campeonato mundial WBO del peso crucero entre el británico Lawrence Okolie 18(14KO)-0 y el neozelandés David Light 20(12KO)-0 encabezando un evento de Boxxer/Sky desde el Manchester Arena de Manchester, Reino Unido. Light no es un mal boxeador, pero es muy cuestionable que vaya a poder lidiar satisfactoriamente con la enorme ventaja en alcance de Okolie, y con su posible uso de constantes clinches, y que vaya a lograr el triunfo como visitante.
En cuanto al respaldo, Michael Gómez Jr. 18(5KO)-1 será el mayor test hasta la fecha para un Levi Giles 13(3KO)-0 sin poner a prueba, siendo este un campeonato por el vacante cinto inglés superpluma; el bronce olímpico, peso pesado, Frazer Clarke 5(4KO)-0 buscará otro triunfo antes del límite combatiendo contra Bogdan Dinu 20(16KO)-4(4); y los invictos Callum Simpson 10(8KO)-0 y Aaron McKenna 15(8KO)-0 se enfrentarán, respectivamente, al peso medio Celso Neves 9(2KO)-3(1)-2 y al peso supermedio Lukas Ndafoluma 22(11KO)-6(2).
En Reino Unido también se producirá un evento de Frank Warren y BT Sport desde el Telford International Centre de Telford. El combate estelar será una revancha del encuentro del peso medio que en septiembre Nathan Heaney 16(6KO)-0 venció por decisión técnica ante Jack Flatley 20(4KO)-3(1)-1. De todos modos, realmente la pugna más interesante del cartel será el duelo del peso supergallo entre el buen prospecto Andrew Cain 10(9KO)-0 y el correoso rumano, con varias victorias contra pronóstico, Ionut Baluta 15(3KO)-4.
En las peleas de acompañamiento del Heaney-Flatley II también sobresalen un combate del peso supergallo en el que Jason Cunningham 31(7KO)-7(2) intentará regresar a la senda del triunfo (tras su dura derrota contra el dopado Zolani Tete) luchando con el exretador mundial chileno Miguel “Ajuga” González 33(9KO)-3(2) y un buen test para la peso pluma Raven Chapman 5(2KO)-0 ante la excampeona mundial peruana Linda Laura Lecca 15(3KO)-5(1)-2.
Finalmente, en la jornada también sobresale una defensa de la campeona mundial unificada IBF-WBO del peso mínimo Yokasta Valle 27(9KO)-2 ante la veterana exnúmero 1 de la categoría Anabel “Avispa” Ortiz 33(4KO)-5(1). En este choque, el estelar de un evento de BLK Prime desde el Club y Hotel Condovac La Costa en Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica, Valle buscará comparar su rendimiento al de Seniesa Estrada, al igual que ésta hará en su combate ante Rupprecht. De todos modos, la comparación no será equivalente, dado que Rupprecht es una campeona mundial reinante y derrotó a Valle, mientras que Estrada venció a Ortiz con amplísimas puntuaciones y esta última está en una línea de rendimiento descendente.
El sábado también se desarrollarán estos otros combates:
-En el Grand Elysée Hotel de Rotherbaum, Alemania, en teoría emitido por YouTube, el prometedor peso superwélter francés, y campeón de Europa, Milan Prat 18(15KO)-0 buscará aparecer en la lista WBA peleando contra el duro ecuatoriano Abel Mina 16(8KO)-2, que sólo ha sufrido ajustadas derrotas como visitante.
-En Tijuana, México, Erick Omar “Habanerito” López 16(10KO)-7(1)-2 y Josué Morales 25(8KO)-12-4 se verán las caras en un interesante combate del peso mosca.
-En The Melbourne Pavilion en Flemington, Australia, Kris Terzievski 11(8KO)-1(1)-1 y Faiga Opelu 15(11KO)-3(2)-1 disputarán un duelo de revancha (en el primer combate ganó Opelu por KOT) que tendrá los cintos australiano y de la Commonwealth del peso pesado en juego.
-En el Casino de Buenos Aires, Argentina, TyC Sports emitirá un bien emparejado cruce del peso wélter entre Yoel Peralta 12(3KO)-1-1 y Gerónimo Juárez 15(3KO)-0 y un campeonato argentino y sudamericano del peso gallo entre Florencia Ayelén Juárez 10(1KO)-1 y Juliana Basualdo 10(2KO)-2(1).
-En Okada Manila Hotel and Casino de Parañaque, Filipinas, el peso minimosca Arvin Magramo 16(11KO)-1-1, 12º WBO, buscará mejorar su posicionamiento en la citada lista peleando por un título menor ante el campeón nacional filipino del peso mínimo Joel Lino 12(5KO)-3-1.
-En Goldsboro, Estados Unidos, el exretador mundial Willie Monroe Jr. 24(6KO)-3(1) pondrá fin a casi cuatro años de inactividad ante el fogueado Vaughn Alexander 17(10KO)-7(1)-1.

As last week, the relevant boxing activity will begin in Canada with an evening broadcast on ESPN+, in this case organized by Eye of the Tiger Management from the Montreal Casino. The main event will be a good super middleweight bout in which promising knockout artist Christian “Solide” Mbilli 23(20KO)-0, WBC number 2, will seek to make a statement (regarding his plans to storm the top of the division shortly) facing Ecuadorian Carlos Góngora 21(16KO)-1, best known for his upset victory over prospect Ali Akhmedov and his decision loss to Lerrone Richards.
In the undercard, super lightweight Steve Claggett 33(23KO)-7(1)-2 and heavyweight Simon Kean 22(21KO)-1(1) will fight in stay-busy matches, respectively, against Mexican Rafael «Furioso» Guzmán 26(16KO)-2-2 and American Eric Molina 29(21KO)-8(8).
Friday, March 24
The biggest evening on Friday will be the one organized by Wasserman in the Bolton Whites Hotel in Bolton, United Kingdom, with the main card televised by Channel 5. In the main event, former Commonwealth light heavyweight champion Lyndon “King” Arthur 21(15KO)-1(1), WBO number11 and WBA number 12, will try to achieve his most significant victory since he was knocked out by Anthony Yarde fighting Argentinian Brian Nahuel Suárez 18(17KO)-1(1), a boxer with a big punch and that was well ranked but who suffered a major setback against Olympic Albert Ramírez (first-round KO) that stopped his plans.
As for the support for this clash, the good Kazakh super featherweight prospect, top 15 in three organizations, Sultan Zaurbek 13(9KO)-0 will put an end to eleven months of inactivity in a stay-busy bout against Argentinian Reuquén Arce 15(7KO)-9(3)-2, and super lightweights Conah Walker 11(3KO)-1-1 and Kane Gardner 15(7KO)-2 will face each other in a well matched and interesting fight.
On the other hand, at the Allianz Cloud in Milan, Italy, ESPN+ will broadcast an OPI event that could perfectly have been offered, like so many others, by the Italian federation’s YouTube, since in it there will only be two mentionable fights. In any case, in the main event, Italian super middleweight prospect Ivan Zucco 16(14KO)-0, WBC number 15, will avoid reaching a year of inactivity, and will try to consolidate his position on the ranking, fighting for a minor title against a competent boxer like former English champion Germaine Brown 12(3KO)-1, who has only been defeated by the skillful Zak Chelli.
In the co-main event, Italian national super welterweight champion, the puncher Francesco Russo 12(10KO)-2(2), will face his first defense against a boxer with a good chin like Christian Mazzon 9(3KO)-4.
For the rest, on Friday only these other duels can be highlighted:
-At the Talisay City Sports Complex in Talisay City, Philippines, light flyweight prospect John Paul Gabunilas 9(6KO)-1 will look to appear in the WBO ranking fighting for a minor belt against young Indonesian Wandi Priman Hulu 2(0KO)-0-1, who in his second professional bout fought to a draw against a then undefeated boxer with almost twenty wins like Andika D’Golden Boy.
-At the BSFZ Sudstadt in Maria Enzersdorf, Austria, undefeated super middleweight Bernardin Jakaj 13(8KO)-0 will have his biggest test to date against Serbian Marko Nikolić 30(12KO)-2(2), who in his most important fight hurt the aforementioned Zucco before the latter beat him.
-At the Monaco Hotel & Resort in Villa Carlos Paz, Argentina, Direct TV will broadcast an Argentine and South American super flyweight championship in which Carla Ayelén «Muñeca» Merino 10(2KO)-2 will face Débora Vanesa Gómez 8( 1KO)-8-2, whom she defeated in 2021 by narrow difference.
Saturday, March 25
The biggest bout of the week will be the super middleweight clash between archrivals, and former world champions, David Benavídez and Caleb Plant, who should offer an exciting fight. Read more following the link.

In the main support of the Benavídez-Plant clash there will be well matched duels. Young super welterweight prospects Jesús Ramos and Joey Spencer will face off in a very intriguing co-main event, lightweights Chris Colbert and José Valenzuela will look to bounce back from hard losses and Cody Crowley and Abel Ramos will battle it out in a potentially entertaining bout. The aforementioned PBC evening is not the only one that stands out in the day, since Top Rank will organize a card aired by ESPN in which there will be an interesting clash of styles between two former world champions such as José Carlos Ramírez and Richard Commey. In addition, British Lawrence Okolie 18(14KO)-0 and New Zealander David Light 20(12KO)-0 will battle in a WBO world cruiserweight championship that will headline a Boxxer/Sky bill from the Manchester Arena in Manchester, United Kingdom. Light isn’t a bad fighter, but it’s highly questionable that he’s going to be able to successfully deal with Okolie’s huge reach advantage, and his possible use of constant clinches, to score a win on the road.
As for the support, Michael Gómez Jr. 18(5KO)-1 will be the biggest test to date for untested Levi Giles 13(3KO)-0, this being a championship for the vacant English super featherweight belt; Olympic bronze medalist Frazer Clarke 5(4KO)-0 will seek another stoppage victory against Bogdan Dinu 20(16KO)-4(4); and the undefeated Callum Simpson 10(8KO)-0 and Aaron McKenna 15(8KO)-0 will face, respectively, middleweight Celso Neves 9(2KO)-3(1)-2 and super middleweight Lukas Ndafoluma 22(11KO)-6(2).
Talking about cards in the UK, on Saturday Frank Warren and BT Sport will offer an event from the Telford International Center in Telford. The main bout will be a rematch of the middleweight fight in which Nathan Heaney 16(6KO)-0 beat Jack Flatley 20(4KO)-3(1)-1 by technical decision last September. In any case, the most interesting matchup on the card will be the super bantamweight duel between the good prospect Andrew Cain 10(9KO)-0 and the tricky Romanian, with several upset victories, Ionut Baluta 15(3KO)-4.
On the undercard, super bantamweight Jason Cunningham 31(7KO)-7(2) will try to return to winning ways (after his tough defeat against the doped Zolani Tete) fighting Chilean former world challenger Miguel «Ajuga» González 33(9KO)-3(2) and featherweight Raven Chapman 5(2KO)-0 will face a good test against Peruvian former world champion Linda Laura Lecca 15(3KO)-5(1)-2.
Finally, a defense of the IBF-WBO unified world minimumweight titles by Yokasta Valle 27(9KO)-2 against veteran former division’s queen Anabel «Avispa» Ortiz 33(4KO)-5(1) also stands out. In this clash, the main one of a BLK Prime event from the Condovac La Costa Club and Hotel in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica, Valle will seek to compare her performance to that of Seniesa Estrada, just as the latter will do in her match against Rupprecht. However, the comparison will not be equivalent, since Rupprecht is a reigning world champion and she defeated Valle, while Estrada beat Ortiz with very wide scores and the latter is suffering a drop in performance.
