Al fin, tras años de espera, David Benavídez y Caleb Plant se verán las caras esta noche en un emocionante enfrentamiento entre excampeones mundiales del peso supermedio [76,2 kg o 168 lb]. La tensión entre ambos, que estuvo presente en cada conferencia de prensa, se dejó notar una vez más en el pesaje, en el que ambos tuvieron que ser separados después de cruces de palabras, un dedazo de Plant por debajo de la mandíbula de Benavídez y un empujón de este último. En cuanto a qué peso dieron, “El Bandera Roja” marcó 75,6 kg (166,75 lb) y “Sweet Hands” pesó 75,9 kg (167,25 lb).
Respecto al choque entre los prospectos del peso superwélter [69,9 kg o 154 lb] Jesús Ramos y Joey Spencer, los dos boxeadores dieron una misma cantidad exacta, 69,5 kg (153,25 lb).
También están listos para su cruce los peso ligero [61,2 kg o 135 lb] Chris Colbert, que detuvo la romana en 61,0 kg (134,5 lb), y José Valenzuela, que marcó 60,8 kg (134 lb).
Finalmente, en cuanto al encuentro del peso wélter [66,7 kg o 147 lb] entre Cody Crowley y Abel Ramos, los boxeadores dieron cantidades respectivas de 65,9 kg (145,2 lb) y 66,2 kg (146 lb).
El evento Benavídez-Plant será retransmitido en Estados Unidos por un PPV de Showtime que comenzará a las 21:00 ET/18:00 PT, las 3:00 de la madrugada en España.

Finally, after years of waiting, David Benavídez and Caleb Plant will face each other tonight in an exciting matchup between former world super middleweight champions [76.2 kg or 168 lb]. The tension between the two fighters, which was present at each press conference, was visible once again at the weigh-in, in which both had to be separated after exchanges of words, a poke from Plant with a finger under Benavídez’s jaw and a push from the latter. Regarding their weights, «El Bandera Roja» came in at 75.6 kg (166.75 lb) and «Sweet Hands» checked in at 75.9 kg (167.25 lb).
As for the clash between super welterweight prospects [69,9 kg or 154 lb] Jesús Ramos and Joey Spencer, the two boxers tipped the scale at 69.5 kg (153.25 lb).
Chris Colbert, who came in at 61.0 kg (134.5 lb), and José Valenzuela, who clocked in at 60.8 kg (134 lb), are also ready for their lightweight fight [61,2 kg or 135 lb].
Finally, regarding the welterweight bout [66.7 kg or 147 lb] between Cody Crowley and Abel Ramos, the boxers weighed respectively 65.9 kg (145.2 lb) and 66.2 kg (146 lb).
The Benavídez-Plant event will be broadcast in the United States through a Showtime PPV that will begin at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT, 2:00 a.m. in the United Kingdom.
